We loved our peaceful quiet one night stay. Comfy bed, everything easy and relaxing. Great shower! Good quality teas and coffees!! Reception friendly and helpful. We were at the end of the row so no road noise at all from the busy street. Thanks team, we’ll be back ‼️

Generally OK
Clean and tidy. A couple of faults. Electric blanket in lounge single bed didn’t work. Wall heater unit had a mind of its own when it wanted to work or not. Shower floor a little slippery and not hard attached to the floor underneath. A little overpriced.

The hotel is located a little bit away from the town centre. But it gives guest the bonus of staying in an quiet environment. Well-maintained facilities and clean room make the guests feel relaxed. The front-desk staff are professional and friendly.

The rooms look like they've been refreshed recently, with regards to flooring, the kitchen cabinetry, paint on the walls, etc. There were four chairs at the dining table, so one of us had to sit on the couch. The kitchen has a hob to cook on, but no extractor above it. There are strongly worded warnings about not cooking odorous foods and leaving a smell. Presumably previous visitors left a mess/smell. The carpet appeared clean, but had an undertone of uncleanliness to it, like it needed a proper deep clean. The beds were fine, but the pull-out couch bed, while comfortable enough, had some stray wires and springs poking out. The kids enjoyed the tennis court, soccer net, and basketball hoops. There are a handful of strongly worded warnings in the guide book and on the walls, and while I appreciate they are to protect the business from unruly visitors, as conscientious guests we felt a bit put out. It is very close to a shopping centre and other interesting sites.

I like the way that the pool and spa pool are still open, that after the long day you’re still be able to relax and have fun with the kids. The property was nice and clean and Aroha was so friendly and approachable. That was a great stay. Thanks.

NZ from SC tour
