Slipways - river front holiday unit

This three bedroom fully furnished apartment is located on the waterfront and within easy walking distance to Laurieton centre.

Sleeps 6 - Consisting of 1 x queen bed, 4 x single beds, 2 bathrooms and a single lock up garage. Well appointed with colour TV, DVD, microwave and dishwasher. Huge balcony with amazing views overlooking the Camden Haven River. The Fishermans Co-Op is right across the road selling fresh local fish and chips or purchase your own choice of fresh seafood. The jetty is also part of the Co-Op making it an ideal place to laze away your days fishing or boating on the beautiful Camden Haven River. Coffee van also now available at the co-op.
Walk along the riverwalk to the North Haven RSL club or down to the Riverwalk Markets every 3rd Sunday. Beaches are within an easy drive.
(Parking to be in the garage or on the street, not in front of garage).

Great position
This was a nice unit in a good position. The kitchen was good, but the mircowave was not working. The decor is very dated and the lounges need to be fixed or replaced. There are planks of wood under the cushions for support which is uncomfortable. The beds were comfortable. It is a hassle bringing your own sheets and towels. There downpipes were leaking so when it rained there was constant dripping all night. We called it the water torture. Otherwise it was a pleasant place to stay.

The unit could be cleaner in the bathrooms particularly. The biggest problem was that the main bed was rock hard and meant 8 nights of little sleep. All of the lounge chairs are sagging in the seats and the owner has placed thick strips of wood under the cushions meaning there is no comfortable way to sit on them. The units were being painted while we were there so outside our window on the first day and scaffolding blocked our parking spot for the entire 8 days.

Great Spot
This house is in a great spot. The only minor issue is that it is a bit dated and not as clean as you would expect. It could do with some minor repairs. The manager was responsive and helpful.

A wonderful, relaxing time
At first glance the 28 stairs looked formidable as I have physical difficulties, however they proved to be less of a problem than I thought. The unit is lovely and very spacious. It was equipped with everything we could possibly want and the views were fantastic. It is an 18 minute walk into town along the riverside. Of course we took advantage of the fish co-op across the road for excellent fish and chips. The only thing missing was wifi which didn't worry us too much. I would suggest Chromecast on the tv to allow the use of Netflix etc.

Great location, great condition, very well provisioned. The only thing spoiling it was the mattress. So so soft, noisy and uncomfortable. Almost any movement woke one or both of us. Hate saying this when everything else was so good.

Fabulous unit with lovely views.
Slipways was a really fabulous place to stay in a fantastic location. We enjoyed meals on the large patio overlooking the Camden Haven River. The unit was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. We will definitely return.

You made a big deal about cleaning the bbq $50.00 and we were looking forward to a bbq on the balcony but no bbq. Very poor. Every correspondence with you has been via email and yet the lock box entry came in via text message. We were not looking for this at messages but was needed. Hence keys were left at charcoal chicken next door to you. Had I have known about you entry requirements I would not have booked with you. You have taught me something. I spoke to some of your people and were delt with very professional. Overall ok.

relaxing location
This was a very pleasant stay. For us coming from a cramped city life we particularly loved the spacious terrace overlooking the river and spent a lot of time there including enjoying a glass of wine there with our evening meal as the river flowed past. One evening we surveyed a pod of dolphins swimming past. The unit itself is comfortable, well supplied kitchen utensils and lots of light catching the evening cooling breezers.
