About this property

This recently remodeled 1 bed 1 bath studio offers a blend of modern comfort and serene beauty. Located right on the water, you'll have access to the dock, boat ramp, fire pit and kayaks. It is common to see all kinds of wildlife including manatees, dolphins, and fish. Fully furnished and equipped with a complete kitchen. The only shared space is the backyard.

The water leads to the Alafia River and Tampa Bay. The boat ramp, dock and kayaks are available for you at your own risk - they can be slippery. Please be careful. Sometimes my boat is on the dock so please let me know if you are bringing a boat and I will make sure the dock is available for your boat. The kayaks can be launched from the boat ramp. You may fish from the kayaks, the dock or the seawall - please just clean up after yourself.

The room can be configured to fit your needs. For example, the couch can be moved under the window to make the desk under the loft bed functional. The rental unit has a microwave, oven, stove, fridge, freezer, coffee maker, and wardrobe closet with hangers.

This unit is for one person only. Two people will be considered upon request.

No pets. No smoking inside.

Kayaks: The kayaks are in the shed along with the paddles and life jackets. Florida law requires you to wear a life jacket while on the kayak. Please be careful when launching the kayaks from the boat ramp. It is slippery. When you’re finished using the kayaks, please rinse them off with the fresh water hose. The on/off valve for the hose is behind the shed.

Parking: Please park in the driveway lane in front of the garage and closer to the street than the garage so the garage can still be accessed.

AC/Heat: The rental unit is connected to the central air conditioning system. Therefore, it will receive the air that the main house is set to. This is typically 70-75 degrees. You may close the air vent above the refrigerator if you do not want to receive the air from the main house. There is a separate air conditioner and heater inside your unit. Please do not move this. You can control it with the buttons on the system itself or with the remote.

Laundry is in the garage and available upon request.
