Great location and Hotel.
The hotel reception area was under renovation at the time but the temporary one was fine and making way for improvements in the hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The buffet breakfast needs improvement in its selection and the staff seemed to be in a hurry to clear away everything As 10am was approaching they were telling customers to get what they wanted as it soon time for the end of breakfast. You felt rushed. I was there for the Sydney marathon and the hotel is in a great location as the race passes in front the hotel and also 2streets parallel to Pitt Street, so followers can just run across and see the runners pass more than once. Lovely hotel and I am sure even better when all the improvements are done. Great location for everything, transport, shopping etc.

Visited from Chicago to run the Sydney Marathon. Stayed in Tank Stream for four nights. The location is very good. Room is very quiet although it is a little small. The bed is very comfortable. Highly recommend.

The property itself is conveniently located within easy walking distance to Pitt Street, which is a main shopping street and also a short walk to the waterfront and thus the Iconic Sydney Opera House, Darling Harbour Bridge and The Rocks. The room was clean. My stay was less than stellar as an individual decided to honk their car horn consistently from 11 p.m. to around 2 a.m. This loudly echoed up to the room and negatively impacted my ability to sleep on the eve of my 15 hour flight to LA. with a 6:30 a.m. check in at the airport. Not the hotel's fault but I would think that they could hear the car horn and attempt to address it and/or apologize the next day even if it may have been outside of their control.

We did have a little trouble finding the entrance of the hotel but when we did it was a nice, quick check in. The room was compact but enough for a 1 night stay. The room was clean enough but extra attention needs to given to the shower area (some probably difficult due to design ) but nothing a good bleach treatment would fix. It was very quiet considering being in Centre of CBD. We would stay there again.
