The location is one of the hotel's strongest assets. Situated right by Hyde Park, it offers a beautiful setting and easy access to many of Sydney's attractions. The views from the hotel are lovely, making it a great spot for those looking to explore the city. However, my stay was marred by several issues. The facilities were quite average; the pool was cloudy, which detracted from the overall experience. While the staff were undoubtedly friendly and eager to assist, there was a noticeable language barrier between communication. Requests I made often took longer than expected to be addressed, which added to my overall frustration during my stay. The most concerning aspect was the state of the bathroom. The toilet was unsanitary upon arrival, and despite having it cleaned, it still smelled and felt dirty. This was disappointing and not up to the standards one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. Overall, while the Sheraton Grand Hyde Park has a great location and friendly staff, the average facilities and cleanliness issues significantly impacted my experience. I don't believe I'll be staying here again, as it did not meet my expectations for a hotel stay.

Great hotel.
This is a well located hotel for seeing the museums and other city sites. We walked everywhere and the subway is also very close. It's an elegant hotel and all the staff is relaxed, helpful and friendly. Housekeeping was very responsive and our room always looked great!

Overall very good stay at this hotel, the big highlight is the great services from reception, room service, resturant and people who tidy up our rooms. It has a great indoor pool and spa too.

Perfect location across from Hyde Park
We had a perfect time. The location is in the city with close access to 2 train stations. You can walk to the ferry harbor. Walking to nearly all of the major museums is easy. Shopping areas are abundant locally. All of the employees greet you cordially and genuinely. They earn their 5-star status.

I particularly liked the breakfast with a view over the park. Unfortunately there was a function in the level 1 bar so we did not get our welcome drink after we checked in as it was too busy. And room service was very slow. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay

Good option but such a shame they don’t tell you in advance of arriving of issues with facilities - note for anyone thinking of booking if want to use the pool be prepared to not use full facilities because things are being “repaired”!
