Very happy with early check in. Helpful and friendly staff. Close to all amenities. Walking distance to good restaurants pubs public transports hop on hop off and train station. Good place to stay

A decent budget option for New Years.
The hotel is ok. This was a New Years stay, and for that it was pricey, but again New Years, so for this time of year an ok price. The staff is friendly, rooms are a good size, hot water works well, and you get a fridge, kettle, and a sink in a little separate room. A bonus would have been a microwave. No outlets near the bed, but they did let me borrow an extension cord. The carpet is pretty old, and the room in ok shape. I found the bed comfy enough and the room suited our needs for our stay. The bathroom is a good size, and our AC worked fine ( A little noisy, and literally next to my bed at bed level, but I slept fine). I would compare this to a motel 6 in the US. So, a budget place. It is well located, not too far to the metro , and a bus stop that will take you into town.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was large and clean although bathroom was a bit awkward. Older facility, not handicap accessible. Note, they do not claim to be, and we still managed. Overall a decent stay.

Potts Point gem
We loved the area, very bohemian and walking was easy with lots of local shops. So interesting. Great coffee across the street, fast food and pastries. The hotel itself is old but the area made up for the lack of modern accommodations. We would not hesitate to return.

Noisy, but fine for the price
Was upgraded to a queen room, which was nice. Room was on first floor, directly above automatic door for lobby which needs oiled badly. Constant grinding of door, open and close, even when people on the street are just walking by. Floors are also very loud, so every step was noisy and the room above us kept waking us up when they would walk around. Thankfully around 11pm the lobby door is changed to key-access only so it would only grind open every 10-15min instead of every 1-3min and our ceiling neighbors went to bed, exhausted from their endless pacing. That all said, the room was fine. No dishes besides cups in the kitchen and no room service cleaning unless you stay a full week and then they'll clean once.

Dopo il nostro reclamo,dalla seconda notte ci è stata assegnata una camera migliore,con piccolo cucinotto ma mancava un microonde. La struttura in generale, andrebbe un po' ristrutturata

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights over New Years Eve. It is in an incredible central location and half the price of other hotels we found in the area. The beds were comfy, and the shower had excellent pressure. It's not a modern hotel but if you want to spend your time exploring the city rather than staying in your room then it's a great option.

Property quite 'dated' but clean. Reception staff proffessional and polite. My room had all amenities including a microwave, iron, proper hair dryer etc and the little balcony was a bonus. Everything available in walking distance, shops, eateries,public transport.

I enjoyed my stay at De Vere. Potts Point is a fun and calm area of Sydney. You are also less than 2 Miles away from Sydney Opera house and several well known attractions.
