Hotel is in a great location, with very easy access to Circular Quay and the main shopping areas. The bed was super comfy and the staff were really friendly. The room had a nice kitchenette area with a sink, microwave oven, kettle, crockery and cutlery etc, and there was a carafe for water to refill and keep in the fridge to save buying bottled water, this was a nice touch. One of the downsides was the annoying curtains, which would automatically open each and every time you come back to the room. They seemed to have a mind of their own too, and would open/close randomly!Being on the 2nd floor, people at street level could pretty much see in the room so this was quite annoying. The communal areas of the hotel were so dimly lit so felt a little oppressive but I guess it was just a bit of a vibe/mood they were trying to set. There is a tram/light rail line that runs past the hotel, and again, being on the 2nd floor meant I could hear it and feel the vibrations every time one went past. That, on top of the construction works adjacent to the hotel (which, in defence of the hotel, this can’t be helped and they did advise me in advance) meant that I didn’t have the best sleep.

Great choice
Really enjoyed our stay at A by Adina. Very convenient location - it’s right in the heart of the CBD, almost directly opposite Wynyard station with step free access to airport train platforms. A short walk from Circular Quay, The Rocks, Darling Harbour, Barangaroo, Westfield, the Botanical Gardens, QVB, and the light rail is also accessible for travelling further. Room very modern and comfortable. The ‘smart’ lighting and blinds controller was sometimes a little too ‘smart’, it would turn the lights off and open or close blind all by itself and the wrong times. But wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The property was very nice. The rooftop restaurant was amazing and all the staff there were super friendly. I love how they can pack so much amenities inside a small room too (comes with a fully functional cook top, microwaves, hot water kettle, washer and dryer, mini fridge, etc). The only hiccup i ran into is that I got surprisingly charged for making some international calls (which i didnt make) and also mini bars (which i didnt rat/drink). The manager there did process the refund for me after i email-complained about the call charges but for some reason, the next day i got another invoice with mini bar charges instead. Hopefully it is just a system glitch. I have just email enquired. Will see. One other complain is that since I was living at one of the corner room on the 5/F, it was rather noisy on the saturday night where people from restaurants/bars across the street were dining/drinking until 2am.. making the already jet-lagged me extremely difficult to rest..

Nice property but very noisy surroundings.
Lovely hotel and rooms but terrible construction noise ALL DAY LONG which wasn’t disclosed until after the booking. The temperature control in the room was broken so the room was freezing. I was offered a stand alone heater which also turned out to be broken and extra duvets to keep me warm. Couldn’t quite enjoy the living space in the suite as it was just too cold.

Don’t book through Expedia. Worst experience ever. Booked for the 12th of July by mistake instead of the 19th. Changed it the next day ( emailed the hotel and Expedia) received email with the new booking. But not of the 12th I received an email asking how my check in was. This alerted me to the fact that they were still expecting me ( mind you they were asking me how my checkin was when I hadn’t even checked in ). And so the issues started, between the hotel A for Adina and Expedia no one helped! I spent 2 hours on messenger with Expedia trying to sort it out. Sent them the emails I had received of confirmation, however Expedia said the hotel won’t correct the issue and transfer the money to the correct booking, and the hotel told me only Expedia has discretion to fix the issue. Big mistake and never again!! So now i have paid over $ 700 for a room I did not use, and no booking for the 19th which was the correct date ‘! I got ripped off so please be ware. Biggest issue was that no one was willing to resolve it.

The room was lovely actually. A nicely laid out suite. Bed was comfy and the aircon worked well. Overall it was a nice stay. There are definitely a few issues though. The bathroom shower flooded the whole bathroom floor in our room. A shower curtain circles the shower head but the lay and fall of the tiles takes the water to the middle of the room and over the vanity/sink area. Poorly done. The room has a smart controller for the lighting, blinds, and curtains. It automatically welcomes you when you enter. It would be nice if it stopped there. Twice when we were in the room it the system randomly did its own thing. Opened all the window coverings as we were dressing. Turned off all the lights as we sat there talking. A mind of its own and over engineered. Keep it simple. I absolutely hate when you are navigating the tv screen for hotel information and the instruction is to go get your phone to take a photo of a QR code on the tv screen you are already looking at, to then navigate to your tiny phone and read the info there. Just show it on the TV screen! You're already looking at it. And then...clicking on "Hotel Info" just circles you back to the homepage and doesn't give you any information. Stupid and a basic fix. Two of us could not find anywhere, the details and prices of the Mini Bar supplies. Nowhere to be found. Robes weren't in the room and we called for some. They brought us what seemed more like swimming pool robes than bath robes but they were ok.
