Want space while Social Distancing?
The Cabin and Cottage share 10 acres of wooded bliss. We are taking extra cleaning precautions and can provide lots of fresh air with minimal contact with others.
The Cottage at Gold Run is part of the 10 acres of Crossing at Gold Run and includes the Cabin at Gold Run that can be booked together. The entire property sits just 8 miles from Susanville and provides stunning views. You'll adore this tranquil getaway so much you won't want to leave. :-)
You will have the whole Cottage and attached decks to yourself. The parking, garage, and yard areas are community property with The Cabin nextdoor (another short-term rental listing).
As much as you want to we ask you NOT to swim in the pond.
Lassen County offers hunting, fishing, and incredible site-seeing opportunities. Gold Run Road ends, and the gates to the Plumas National Forest begin, where OHV use is encouraged. Numerous fire lookouts within 20 miles provide unparalleled views. World-famous Eagle Lake, Antelope Lake, and Lake Almanor nearby. Bizz Johnson Trail can be ridden from Mason Station to Susanville 28 miles downhill (mostly).
Susanville is a small town, with groceries and other basic stores 8 miles away.
Bring a flashlight if you plan to arrive after dark. We have outdoor lighting, but it is the forest and can be quite dark. ;-) Please park in front of the garage and NOT on the grass or paver walkway.
The Crossing at Gold Run is a shared property with the Cottage and Cabin at Goldrun. We are taking extra cleaning precautions and happy to host, if you need space and fresh air this is the place. The property shares parking and access bridge. The Cottage and Cabin are separated by 60 feet and a common lawn. There are external cameras on walkways, garage and fire pit areas.
We love dogs at The Crossing. We ask that you never leave your pet unattended, never allow them up on the furniture, and please clean up after your dog.
There is NO smoking or vaping allowed on the property or in the Cabin or Cottage.
Finally, since our cottage is in CA, we are prone to rolling blackouts. These blackouts effect power and internet (we do have a whole house generator so you may not even notice when power is lost). We have no control over when these blackouts occur, and while they’re short in duration, they can be an inconvenience to some guests. Most guests who experience the blackouts understand it’s temporary and enjoy the peace and quiet of this amazing property; however, if you are one that needs to be connected 24/7 with zero interruptions than this may not be the property for you.
A great escape from the Bay Area (San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose 4.5hrs) andSacramento 3 hrs
Please consider this prior to booking.
