PALM COTTAGE

The Palm Cottage is a standalone unit which is next to the pool and near the outdoor shower. It has been recently renovated. The main room includes a Queen sized bed, TV, table with 4 chairs, a full kitchen, full bath with a walk-in shower. The front room has a trundle bed with two twin mattress and a TV.
It can comfortably sleep 3 people. Just outside the front door is an outdoor table and chairs. The unit is air conditioned and WiFi service is available throughout the resort. Enjoy the communal outdoor pool and covered patio that has a gas grill, griddle and picnic area.

For those who would like to venture out to the beach, the unit has 2 beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a cooler and beach towels for your convenience.

Guest may request to have their pet, 1 dog of 40 pounds or less, accompany them on their vacation and will be required to sign and abide a pet occupancy agreement as well as pay $75 in additional cleaning fees for the in-depth cleaning required after a dog has stayed in the unit. Guests that bring a dog that has not been pre-approved by management or do not follow resort rules will be asked to leave the resort and all payments will be forfeited.

Our property manager is on the property on a daily basis and is available to answer guests questions or address concerns. She is quite knowledgeable about the Keys, and can recommend great excursions and restaurants.

Fishing adventures, bird watching, water sports or some down time relaxing in nature and the beauty of the most desired key in Florida. We’re twenty-five miles to Key West for dinner and nightlike or walk down the block to the local tiki bar, Tonio’s.

We have plenty of space for your boat and trailer. There is a boat ramp just down the block at Tonio's that can handle flat boats 21' or smaller and the boat ramps at Cudjoe Gardens Marina (477 Drost Ave.) and Little Torch Key (SR 4A & County Road) can handle larger boats for a minimal fee.

We’re located twenty-five miles from Key West for dinner and nightlife. Walk 2 minutes down the block to Tonio's Seafood Shack & Tiki Bar. Bahia Honda State Park, with its beautiful beaches, is a 15 minute drive from HIDDEN HAMMOCK RESORT. Our property is not on a waterfront and there are no public beaches in Summerland Key.

GIRLS TRIP -- (ran out of room below, would give this place 10 stars if I could!)
Just returned from our amazing vacation to the Florida Keys. We had 3 ladies on our annual girls trip this year and we stayed in the Palm Cottage.I cannot tell you enough how wonderful Hidden Hammock is. We dubbed it “Little Melrose Place”. It’s such a cute little community. We arrived at dark, but the outdoor light was on and door ajar so we could easily get inside. There were 3 of us ladies so we had plenty of room inside the cottage. There were 5 or 6 (very nice) beach towels, 2 (very nice) beach chairs and a (also very nice) beach umbrella. Since there were 3 of us, Hope brought us a third chair and a cooler right away, as we were headed to the beach that day. At other places we've stayed, if the description says there are beach chairs, it usually means they are broken down ones that other guests have left. Not here, everything was brand new! It was so nice not having to go and spend money on a beach chair, umbrella and cooler! We hung out by the pool on Monday. There are 3 other cottages at Hidden Hammock and the guests at the other places came to the pool that day too, and we all hung out together (hence, "little Melrose Place") Hope was there as well and even grilled us ALL hamburgers and hotdogs. It was a very lovely day.We loved the location of Summerland Key. We could drive 30-40 minutes either way and have plenty of activities to do and restaurants to go to, although you could also drive as little as 5 minutes to find some great places to eat!

Nice Holiday Getaway
We had a wonderful stay at Palm Cottage over the holidays. Hope, the property manager, was very welcoming and helpful when we had questions. She left goodies for us for the holiday and made sure we were comfortable. The property was great and we really enjoyed the heated pool. Quiet road and location and was able to go for a nice neighborhood walk.

First time we had stayed in Summerland Key. Great place to stay. Close to everything we wanted to do. Due to Hurricane Milton we decided to cut our visit short. Trina and Hope were very accommodating with our needs!! We will be back

Family getaway
Very comfortable low key rental. The house was clean and setup perfectly for what we needed. The pool was very warm more like an oversized hot tub but it was still nice to hang out in after a day out. Loved the outdoor shower! Will definitely keep this on our list of places to stay for our next trip down!

Easy from start to finish! Lovely cottage in very central location in the Florida Keys. Hope was the highlight of the trip, truly the “hostess with the mostest.” She checked in daily, offered great tips for restaurants and activities. Perfect Cottage for Two
My Husband and I stayed at the cutest cottage that had everything we needed and more. The location was a perfect spot to explore the northern keys as well as heading south to Key West. We took advantage of the pool on site. Our hosts we very thoughtful. I would highly recommend this wonderful property.

Summer land Key is conveniently located So of the 7 mile bridge and a short 35 minute drive to Key West. The property is super quiet and comfortable. We stayed in Palm Cottage which was perfect for just me and the wife. Great appliances; full size fridge, 4 burner stove with oven. Plenty of utensils, pots, pans, etc if you want to cook vs. going out. Soft towels, fully stocked bath. Owners even provide a cooler and beach chairs, a nice touch. Hope is a gracious host and super responsive if you need anything. She was friendly but respectful of our time…perfect! The best surprise was the close proximity of great food. This is a beautiful property. Beautiful grounds with a lot of open space, wetlands, tons of birds... The cottage itself was perfect. The bed was comfy, the shower was great and we had everything that we needed. There's a grill near the pool and that was perfect for a nice dinner at 'home'. The pool was beautiful as well, a little chilly while we were there, but still perfect. There's a lot to explore and do around Summerland Key, lots of nature trails and whatnot. And it's a nice quiet location to come back to after exploring the other Keys. We had a fantastic time!

Our cottage was simple, a little worn but as described, clean and quiet. It was an 20-30” drive to Key West and conveniently located with restaurants nearby. The pool area was well maintained and made for a nice outdoor area to cool off and relax. The host was attentive but not over bearing and communications were easy. We’d definitely consider staying here again.

Perfect Private Oasis
Loved, Loved , Loved everything about my vacation here. From the great communication with the owners, to the privacy and setting of this quaint little cottage and the short 30 minute drive to the hustle and fun of Key West. I would highly recommend this for your next stay. Cottage was very clean with quaint little kitchen, private pool with jacuzzi right at your doorstep and washer/dryer on site. The serenity and privacy alone make this an ideal spot to stay. 15 minute to public beach areas, water front visible and accessible across the street and lot of nice restaurants nearby. Convenient location to enjoy all the keys throughout your stay. The property has a couple of other cottages on site for rent as well , which would make this perfect for reunions, girls trip and family get togethers. Already looking ahead to next year for a return stay here and bringing multiple families.
