Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. This is the perfect getaway in the Sierras for you to enjoy year round activities with your family. In the summer, enjoy a short drive to Pinecrest Lake where you can enjoy a day of swimming, hiking, fishing, outdoor movie theatre and more! Winter activities include skiing/ snowboarding at Dodge Ridge, Ice- Skating or the snow park in Lealand Meadows. This 3 bed 2 Bath cabin is two story with propane fire place and large front porch.

This cozy cabin has room for the whole family and then some! The cabin comfortably sleeps 8 with a Queen Bed downstairs. Upstairs Bedroom offers a king bed. The second bedroom offers a Queen bed. The couch in the living room is a pullout and will sleep 2 more. The kitchen provides basic cooking utensils, dishware, a coffee pot, and a french press with complimentary coffee

Guests have access to the entire cabin.

At 5,325 elevation Strawberry is located just minutes from the ever-so-popular Pinecrest Lake and Dodge Ridge Ski Resort. Strawberry is both a summer and winter vacation community situated at the transition zone between the oak forest of the California foothills and the mixed pine and fir forest of the Sierra Nevada. Summers are cool with the higher elevation during the day and the nights are generally mild; making Strawberry a pleasant escape from the long, hot summers of the California Central Valley. Winters can be very cold with snow occurring several times during the season. Winter sports venues are located nearby at Leland High Sierra Snowplay near Strawberry (snow tubing), Long Barn Lodge & Ice Skating Rink, and Dodge Ridge Ski Area near Pinecrest are all along Highway 108, plus the Badger Pass Ski Area in nearby Yosemite Park.

Must pay pet fee of $100 if a guest brings a pet without paying the pet fee then they will forfeit their deposit.
If guest throws a party they are agreeing to pay an extra $500 cost on top of their booking and cleaning fees.

Unfortunately the cabin was very dirty with very poor air circulation. The kitchen floor was so dirty and there wasn’t any supplies to clean it. It had a mop was a swiffer mop with a hard dirty pad. Making it unusable. The vacuum was a very old bag system that leaked dust throughout the house. It was very hot and only had one ceiling fan in the upstairs bedroom. Too hot to sleep. We all got sick. The deck had ashes from the bbq, we did have a broom there to sweep. The TV local channels were blurry maybe need special glasses to view??? I would not go back.

We loved the cabin! It is super clean, has a great location, and we had excellent communication with the host. The only drawback, and why I won't probably return, is the cost. The fees are way too high! They bring the daily cost too high. I have rented for 30+ years in the Pinecrest area and this was just too much. So sad, as I really liked the place. That's why only a 3-star rating.

Always Amazing!
We absolutely LOVE this spot. We’ve been staying in this cabin several times a year for the last 10 plus years and we were really worried when it changed ownership that we wouldn’t be able to visit any longer. We’ were so happy to be back and found everything to be pretty much exactly the same as before. The only slight differences were positive. Reservations and check in are easier now with the elimination of the phone in required to reserve and the stop at the office to check in. Checkout is also simplified since there is less cleaning involved. For those that haven’t visited, this property is in a perfect spot adjacent to a little meadow where our kids play and sled in the winter and throw a ball around in summer. We don’t typically leave the cabin area for anything other than our morning walks because we just love being there, but it’s also super close to Pinecrest, dodge rodge, the river etc. Highly recommend!

This cabin is one of several in a complex of very cute, well maintained cabins. Great in the winter for snow play or in the summer for access to Pinecrest Lake. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of linens and supplies. Extremely clean and fresh carpet throughout. Be advised there is no washer/dryer. Easy to plan for since we knew in advance. Owner/manager were easy to communicate with and responded immediately.
