I had a wonderful weekend break in a spacious two storey converted barn, and even though the winds howled outside, it was heaven inside. Additional features include a stunning view of the dawn sunrise and the sound of steam trains on the air. A Shetland pony lives next door too.

This was an absolute gem of a place to stay! We stayed here as part of a trip to Alton towers and was about a 13min drive. The host Allan is so lovely and we loved our welcome goodies! The property is massive for our family of 4 with a well equipped kitchen and the most stunning of views! Having a pony in the next field was an added treat for the kids. Having a cup of tea and staying out at the views in the morning was a slice of heaven before the madness of Alton Towers. Would highly recommend! ps perhaps adding in the closest street address onto the booking would help when arriving in night to find it easier but Alan guided us straight away when we didn’t find it first time. Wouldn’t have been any problems in day light but was only because we arrived so late that we missed the description.

Beautiful break in the countryside.
We had a great weeks break as a family in the lovely Granary. Beautiful picturesque peaceful surroundings, the owner was really friendly and helpful and we couldn't have wished for anything more.
