Pet-friendly cottage in the country 15 mn from Mayo Clinic

A simple and cozy country getaway awaits you just 10-15 minutes from the city. Spend your evenings catching beautiful sunsets, or under the stars by the fire pit It's the perfect setting for roasting marshmallows. Meet our resident hens, rooster our friendly dog who is part of the family. Pet friendly, don't leave your furry friends behind, they're welcome here!
Conveniently located just 15 minutes from the Mayo Clinic and downtown Rochester, 10 minutes from the Rochester International Airport and I90.

You will be staying in a private one-bedroom loft cottage on a 7-acre hobby farm with a lot of wildlife. The loft is an updated old grain building separate from our main house. There is ample parking on the property. When we are home, you may see us working around the farm but we will not disturb you, unless you want company :)

The kitchenette has a multifunction air fryer, microwave, toaster, dual brew coffee maker, and a fridge. There is no stove but an electric skillet to cook with. A grill (charcoal and gas) is at your disposition for year-round BBQ. There is a counter top water dispenser with hot and cold water.
The house has a septic system, please no wipes or sanitary products can be flushed.

The bedroom is up a staircase on the loft level. Be advised that the loft has a low ceiling and may be inconvenient for people over 6 ft. The stairs are steep which could be a problem for people with mobility issues. We have had guests who chose to sleep on the sofa.

There is plenty of space on the property for your furry friend to explore and run around, no need to keep on a leash! Please inquire if you have more than one dog, extra fee applies. We ask that pets are crated when left unattended in the cottage.

Enjoy the stars while soaking in a Scandinavian hybrid wood fired hot tub and electric sauna! We would like our Mayo Clinic patients and their family to have a place to stay at a reasonable price so we would like to provide the option to use the hot tub and sauna for a pay-as-you-go fee of $15/day of use. Firewood available on site. This option and payment methods are provided upon check-in.

Weekend Getaway
My husband and I enjoyed a weekend away in a charming cottage that had everything we needed. The amenities made us feel comfortable and pampered. Unfortunately, we didn't have time tontake advantage of the jot tub and sauna. Next time we certainly woll.

Perfect stay on beautiful farm
The cottage is updated, clean, and well maintained. I stayed for one night on a cross-country drive. I just slept downstairs because I had my dog with me so I can't comment on the loft but the couch was very comfortable. Jeremy was really nice. The pictures don't do the awesome property justice. Highly recommend.

Relaxing place to stay
My husband and I were in town for appointments at the Mayo Clinic. It was so nice to come back to this relaxing getaway each night after the medical stress. The hosts stocked it with everything we needed and were so nice.

Cute & Convenient Location!
This little cottage is in the perfect location, very peaceful in the country, but a short distance from Stewartville or Rochester. Had everything we needed for a weekend stay, including a smart TV & Wi-Fi that we could stream the Olympics on :) it was a very hot weekend & the AC felt great. My husband had to be careful to not hit his head in the bedroom loft area, but was perfect for me (5ft tall). Overall we were very comfortable & would recommend!

Peaceful retreat
This was an absolutely lovely cottage in a quiet farm setting. The cottage was beautifully renovated with modern fixtures and excellent Wi-Fi. My dog was also welcomed and had his own amenities provided by the host. Access was easy. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect!!!
Perfect place to get away from the hubbub of the city, yet close enough for Mayo clinic appointments. Quiet and serene spot that our chihuahuas loved. The hosts thought of everything even towels and treats for the pups. we loved our stay there and if we ever find ourselves back in the Rochester area we will book this as our home away from home in a heartbeat! Oh did I mention CLEAN - my first impression was that the cottage must have been recently remodeled. Loved our stay here!!!

So many great things!! This is a perfect place in a very awesome farm setting. It is small, warm and completely comfortable for 1-2 people or if you have pets. I loved it here when i had my trip to Mayo Clinic. It will be my go to every time!

Great escape from the city!
Myself, my son and our golden retriever had a great stay! We enjoyed being out in the country and checking out the property together! The cottage was perfect for us and our needs. On one of our morning walks we watched pheasants fly out, from their roost in the pine trees, and into a neighboring field. Turkey and deer tracks were spotted as well. Our Golden Retriever loved the space and running around. When we head to the Rochester area again, we'll be checking if this is available again. Great hosts and a great property!
