The Residences of Old Town, brought to you by Mountain Vacation Lodging, are located in the heart of Downtown Steamboat Springs. Across from the condo flows the Yampa River, where guests can kayak, tube, flyfish or just sit on the shore and listen to its soothing sounds. Within a minute or two walk, there are a huge variety of restaurants, shops, gear stores, tube rental locations, bike shops, etc. If it's winter and guests are in town to ski, they can hop on the free bus to the ski mountain, located around the corner from the unit. In addition to Steamboat Resort, Howelsen Hill is just a short walk across the road. At Howelsen guests can enjoy inexpensive lift tickets, free skiing on Sunday, miles of nordic/snowshoe trails, a playground for the kiddos, and miles of world class mountain biking in the summer. In the summer the rodeo grounds, home of the weekly Steamboat Springs ProRodeo Series, is a 2-3 minute walk from the unit. The condo itself is cozy, well equipped and ready for all guests to enjoy. Each of the 3 bedrooms has an HDSmartTV. There is one King Bedroom with an ensuite bath and 2 other bedrooms, both with Queen beds and a shared bathroom. Luckily this condo has a private washer & dryer so guests don't have to worry about a long walk with their laundry!

Arrival, Access, and Parking:
– Accessing the Property – From the parking lot guests will have a flight of stairs to access the 2nd floor unit. There is no elevator. The unit itself has no stairs within.
– Parking – Parking is limited to 1 vehicle per reservation. There is very limited parking at the unit. Luckily the rodeo grounds are a 1 minute drive away and additional vehicles can park there overnight. There is street parking just outside the unit but is oftentimes limited to 2 hours and is not allowed overnight.
– 4WD vehicle information
– 4WD/AWD or vehicles with chains are recommended to access the property when traveling during snow and winter weather conditions. The roads surrounding the unit are well plowed but can still be slick during winter weather conditions.

** Air Conditioning - Most mountain resort properties were not built with air conditioning. During most hours of the day and weeks of the year, AC is not needed. Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property and look for ceiling fans in photos.
** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.

Great location. Could use updating.
We enjoyed our unit. It was comfortable and close to everything. Cleanliness was an issue. The carpets are worn and dirty and floors were filthy. Our feet and socks were black just walking through the house. My clothes got dirty from hanging in the closet where a fan was stored. It was filthy. Keypad on the side entrance didn’t lock so had to walk all the way around each time we left the property. Beds were comfortable and bedding was nice.

A Little Disappointed
Unit was listed as having air conditioning and there was none. Additionally, while we knew from the photos that the unit was small, it is dark and dreary, and the living space provided uncomfortable furniture. The rugs are stained and worn. There was no mattress pad on the master bedroom bed. This is unsanitary for a rental. The bath towels were cheap and small. The real redeeming quality of the unit is the location in downtown Steamboat with parking.

Property was good, great bedding, well stocked kitchen with some spices etc. Good furnishings. Location was good. Easy walking to all services, especially restaurants. Be aware the unit has no AC. Temps were in mid 80s and fans were not sufficient. Communications not personal, too automated. No welcome guide or printed instructions. Would book again.

Centrally Located Family Trip
We were in town for a family event and the condo was perfectly located in the middle of town. We walked to most of our destinations for coffee, lunch, dinner, and snacks. The on-site parking space also made it easy for quick runs to other activities in town.

Perfect Location
Very nice property in a perfect location. This is in the center of the downtown steam boat area. Walking distance to bars, restaurants, & shops. Beautiful scenic views. Had minor issues with the TVs and refrigerator but would definitely stay there again.

Steamboat Winter festival
What a perfect location for this condo. Walking distance to amazing restaurants and bars. The winter festival was one block up to see all the fun activities on the Main Street. The beds are super comfortable and the place was super cozy. The fireplace was a treat to get nice a warm. We will for sure stay here again next winter.
