Modern, spacious 4 bedroom waterfront vacation home near Cavendish

The Privateer is a coastal riverhouse away from it all yet it is still just minutes from Cavendish. The spacious waterfront property is situated on a large, private lot with gorgeous views out to the Stanley River with private access to the beach from the back yard. Beach chairs are provided for down along the shoreline as are kayaks and life-jackets for a paddle on the river.

The open concept main level living, dining and kitchen area has room for your entire group and is focussed on the view with access to the wrap-around deck with comfortable seating and views out to Stanley River and large yard featuring a fire-pit and stairs down to the beach. There is a powder room off the main living space. Also on the main level is the large master bedroom with views out to the water with a king bed, ensuite and walk-in closet. One additional bathroom on this level features a standup shower and laundry area close to the garage providing easy access for clean up after coming up from the beach or after a day of activities out with your group. There is also an upper level loft bedroom featuring a king bed.

The lower level has a walkout to the backyard and features a large rec room providing a second living space with a comfortable sectional sofa and smart tv, as well as, board games for use during your stay. There are two bedrooms on this level. One bedroom with a queen bed and the other with one queen and a double Murphy bed (wall bed). Another full bath with beautiful views of the river completes the amenities on the lower level of the home.

Wonderful fall getaway
We had an amazing stay at this property. It was the perfect place to relax and spend time with friends. Highlights were evening fires with beautiful sunsets over the water & morning coffee on the peaceful back deck. Location was perfect a quiet drive to Cavendish!

When we arrived at “The Privateer” we were flabbergasted, as our niece’s choice of accommodations far exceeded our expectations. We were a group of 10 and the accommodations were phenomenal. There was absolutely nothing that we needed. The house was immaculate, and the kitchen was stocked with everything one might need. I.e. Oyster gadgets, lobster pickers and even a burner and huge pot to cook a feast fit for a king or queen, even a cupboard filled with games. The grounds were well maintained with an assortment of beautiful trees and shrubs. The outside fire pit area was close to the shore with stairs to gain access to the water. During our stay we were able to observe a parade of lights and fireworks directly from the deck. We were in close proximity to many of the tourist attractions, yet our accommodations felt very private. Our only complaint would be that we had only booked for three nights and should have stayed a week. The owners have thought of everything that a family would need to make their vacation getaway memorable. We will be back again to this “PEI Oasis”
