Room was hot, tried to change and they told me I wasn’t checked in even though I checked in and my card was charged. Couldn’t refund me because they couldn’t find my booking even though when I checked in there was no issue finding my information. Someone was smoking in the room, the whole hallway smelt.

Good location
The only thing good about this hotel was the location. We could walk to Starbucks, bars, restaurants, Saturday morning market and the waterfront. The hotel is very old and in need of renovations. The shower has mold in the grout. The light fixtures in the bathroom are rusty. There was no hot water. The previous guest's used washcloth was still in the shower when we checked in. The bed was soft and had a huge dip in the middle. The mattress should have been replaced long ago. It was very uncomfortable and our backs were sore in the morning. The bedspread was old and worn out and in need of replacement. Customer service was not good. They did not come in to clean the room until 5 pm each day. They didn't even clean the room one of the days we were there and we went down to ask for clean towels. They gave us towels but didn't have wash cloths. Next day they cleaned the room but didn't give us wash cloths. We had to go down and ask twice before they finally brought them up. There is no coffee or breakfast offered here, either, but there is a Starbucks within walking distance.

TV didn’t work reported to front desk two times, nothing room had water stains on ceiling and window valances, toilet seat was stained and bed blanket old dingy and looked as if bleach stains on it. The bed very uncomfortable and made noise every time you sat or moved on it. I never complain but this was unacceptable.

They never checked me in
When I went to check in the front desk mentioned my reservation was prematurely canceled and that Hotels dot com sent me a refund. I was not able to stay and I do not see the refund.

The property is charming and quaint.The area around the property is lovely to walk around and enjoy shopping and dining. I would suggest that the hotel provide coffee in the mornings. The small outdoor restaurant downstairs has good food.
