The Peter Bay Penthouse Suite is a romantic 1BR/1BA villa overlooking the breathtaking Caribbean panoramas of St. John's north shore. Located at the exclusive gated community of Peter Bay Estate, the Peter Bay Penthouse Suite occupies the upper level of the Peter Bay Gatehouse Villa which consists of two 1BRs. The lower level suite is the Honeymoon Suite, and the upper level suite is the Penthouse Suite. Each suite is private, and self-contained with separate entrances. The Penthouse Suite, and the Honeymoon Suite can each accommodate an additional two guests in the living room queen sleeper sofa. Both the Penthouse Suite and the Honeymoon Suite can be rented together as a 2BR / 2BA.

At the Peter Bay Penthouse suite, you are surrounded by the pristine turquoise waters, white sand beaches, and emerald green hills known as St. John's north shore. From the dramatic upper level balcony and living room and your view from the Peter Bay Penthouse Suite is a magnificent panorama from the British Island of Jost Van Dyke across Thatch & Mary point, to the U.S. Virgin Islands beaches of Francis Bay, Maho Bay, and Cinnamon Bay.

The Peter Bay Gatehouse, architecturally designed in the old-world style of a 17th century Danish Mill Tower, as seen at the Annaberg & Catherineberg historical sites, is a St. John landmark as the historical period Gatehouse is located at the gate entrance to the exclusive Peter Bay Estate community, overlooking the majestic U.S. & British Virgin Islands.

Within this Danish Tower design, the upper level Penthouse Suite is a spacious 1000 sq ft. 1BR/1BA designed in old-world elegance. The comfortable living room, and large exterior balcony look out to a spectacular Caribbean view. The lovely bedroom with its curved walls taking on the circular shape of the exterior mill design has a romantic, king size four poster bed. There is a mini-kitchen with microwave, a breakfast bar, outdoor grill, and alfresco dining on the ocean view balcony with a dining table for 4. The spacious bathroom with garden shower is designed in beautiful island stone & classic tile.

The ocean view balcony of the Penthouse Suite has gorgeous views of the beautiful U.S. & British Virgin islands. By evening, the stars of the north shore sky shine brighter, and the glimmering lights of Jost Van Dyke, and Tortola in the distance define romance in the Caribbean.

The Peter Bay Penthouse Suite has ceiling fans, wifi & phone, satellite TV, an outdoor grill, all linens & towels, a laundry room, & private parking. The bedroom is air conditioned.

Peter Bay Estate is considered St. John's most prestigious address due to the multi-million dollar villas drawn to this location by the majesty and awe-inspiring beauty of its Caribbean setting. Peter Bay Estate is one of the very few parcels of pristine north shore land that was not deeded to the U.S. Virgin Islands National Park by Lawrence Rockefeller in the 1950s. Ideal location
The view. Great location. Excellent communication. A smidge pricey and there are some things in the unit that could be updated. Bed being too soft was our most significant issue.Unrelated to the property: Roads on St. John require continual attention. Most were fine for our Nissan Kicks—and you are better off in a smaller car if you are only 2 people. I should have stayed off Highway 206. For that, a jeep would have been better. Also skip going to Fort Frederick Ruins.

Relaxing and Romantic … Paradise!!
My husband and I absolutely loved our stay in St John! The Peter Bay Gatehouse was more than we imagined. Spectacular views, wonderful accommodations and the beach was perfect! Our host, Tommy, was the absolute best!! He went above and beyond to make our stay perfect!! Very responsive and ensured everything was working before he left. We highly recommend this property and will definitely be back!!!

Amazing place
This is a beautiful property that exceeded our expectations, the views are incredible. Had all the necessary amenities, was clean, and beautiful artwork, architecture, and furniture. Tommy was attentive and very helpful for anything at all you need from check in, general questions, and check out. Very convenient 1-2 min drive to both cinnamon and trunk. Grounds and architecture were sooo cool. Highly recommend, I will definitely stay here when we return to St. John.

We loved the view and the location of this spectacular rental. The only drawback was the mosquitos getting in and biting us. It would be wonderful if you could screen the doors out to the patio to keep them out or install HVAC in the main area!

This place has an amazing location and view. The only problem was the roof leaked when it rained and there was no way to keep mosquitos out so we woke up everyday with new bites. They also did not provide shampoo, conditioner or lotion, which has been standard at all other VRBO’s we’ve rented so that was a surprise to us so we had to purchase our own after arrival.

The property was fantastic. The scenery was breathtaking. My family and I loved it. The property was exactly as described. We encountered no problems. The property manager, Tommy, was great and very helpful. The car rental lost our reservation for a jeep. Tommy was a tremendous help in assisting us in renting a jeep at the last minute. We definitely will stay there again.

Great Get Away
This property was a great get away. We enjoyed having a private beach to ourselves within walking distance of the house. There was only one day where we encountered other people on the beach and the property is conveniently located close to town for groceries or grabbing dinner. It's also less than 5 minutes to other public beaches with activities. The property is very comfortable for two and is well appointed. Thomas, the property manager, was very communicative and helpful. I'd love to come back.

Lovely property and location
Views and location were top notch. Accomodations we're very good. Bedroom and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. Common areas (patio, living room, kitchen) were a bit small. Ok for two but would be crowded with any more. VRBO listing included a hot tub which is no longer there. The kitchen was ok, toaster and coffee pot had some issues. As people who like to cook when traveling, we made it work.

We stayed in the penthouse suite of the Peter Bay Gatehouse. The condo was very nice, had a great view and we loved the location. It was also easy to get to from Cruz Bay. However, we were disappointed to find the condo did not have a hot tub like was advertised in the listing and photos. We were specifically looking to find a place that had either a pool and/or hot tub and the description of this place said it had a private hot tub on the balcony. Upon check-in we were told that there is no hot tub.

Virgin Island Escape!
We really enjoyed this property. You do need a vehicle to stay here to simplify your stay on St John. You can take a taxi but at the mercy of when they drive by on the street by the Villa. The view is incredible. We met the owner and communicated often and easily with his property manager. Any issue we had was addressed almost immediately. You have private access to Peter Bay down below the Villa but you have to drive to get access. You are 1/2 way between Coral and Cruz Bays which is a great location. Loved our stay her!

Fantastic location
Of course, the island is everything. And the gatehouse is perfect when you leave the kids home (first time in16 years). This was our first time staying on this side and I don't think it could have been better. Our only regret was waiting for the last day to hit the private beach. We were the only two on the beach and it's a beautiful beach. The location of this villa is perfect, the view is perfect and the villa itself is fantastic. Hope to be back soon.

About a 20-min drive up windy north shore rd from Cruz Bay, you’ll sit high in a cliff overlooking Cinnamon Bay. You can hear the waves hit the shore and the hills rise around you covered in thick growth. It feels like your own tropical planet! Well outfitted for a unique space, it is perfect for a romantic escape. St. John is absolutely incredible and this place is a gem!
