Last time I went through St. Ignace we stayed here. It was so nice that this trip I booked here again. You can’t beat the view from the patio in the room!

Private beach and all rooms face Lake Huron. Gorgeous sunrises. Several fire pits. Nice breakfast. Comfortable beds with updated room. Cable TV. Easy parking and close to ferries and casino and downtown shopping and boardwalk. Pool and hot tub. Have stayed here multiple times and will come back next year!!

They put us in the room right below the breakfast café which at 6:30 am became very noisy due to the continental breakfast they served. We also had no cleaning service since they were very short staffed. In addition, they called us to say that my wife could not smoke on the patio outside our room that faced the lake. It appears one of the guests tattled on us. I was informed that it was a $250 fine. I explained that I was not aware of this and they told my wife that we needed to be 150 feet from the building. However, the designated smoking areas outside of every exit were not that distant and in fact the ash trays were right next to the exit door. We also did not see any postings in the lobby or elsewhere about this restriction. I purposely booked a room at a hotel that had either a patio or balcony so my wife could go outside and have a smoke. I will never stay at this hotel ever again and I warn anyone else who has a similar situation to not book there either. There are other hotels in St. Ignace that are far more accommodating.

I had the lakefront room on the second level, i love the old school style of the hotel, the view is incredible, you can see Mackinaw Island in the distance, the best part was leaving the curtains open and waking up from the sunrise over the lake

Clean, comfortable and convenient!
Bavarian Haus Lakefront Inn served us well for our first trip to the UP. For a prime autumn weekend, the prices were reasonable. The rooms are a bit dated but still comfortable. We love that every room has a lakeside patio or balcony! Within walking distance to a number of restaurants, we had a variety of food choices. It was easy access to Mackinac Island and the Mackinaw Bridge so exploring the area was easy. We would definitely consider staying here on a return visit.
