All in all an amazing stay. There were some small issues like old fixtures and a loose faucet handle and the floor could have been swept a little better, but nothing that really took away from the enjoyment of the facilities. Beds were clean and comfy. Good location for kids and also staff was so amazingly friendly and accommodating.

The staff was notably friendly, my wife and I really enjoyed our conversations with Ellen and James. James is the morning cook, and the hot breakfast was much better than typical hotel/motel fare.

Stayed 2 nights upstairs viewing the bay. All staff we spoke with great from the front desk, housekeeping, and service staff. Breakfast was good and never ran out thanks to the excellent service. The room was adequate. The linens were clean. The beds did not have enough support and seemed very dated. Due to the age of the rooms, there is not enough power outlets in today's world especially when there were 4 of us. The bathroom was clean, but has dated decor. The huge wooden sink cabinet needs to go. But the water pressure was good and the water got very hot. Only issue we had was as soon as we checked in. The A/C was not working but the front desk attendant came to inspect it and fixed the issue (reset circuit breaker). Would stay here again thanks to the staff and the convenience to downtown St. Augustine.

Went on Christmas Eve to see the St Augustine lights. Hotel was in a convenient location and room was spacious. Had two queen beds…only had one nightstand in the middle of the two beds so no place to place my glasses or phone. No accessible outlets in the room (2 non working USB ports on nightstand) so wound up having to plug in electronics in the bathroom. Not sure why they don’t have a power strip plugged in somewhere.
