Home away from home.
We turned a gig in town into an anniversary get away and loved out corner room and the way the staff was so hospitable and accommodating - even opened up the patio and comped us beers after our Monday hike. We would absolutely stay here again!

In general this property has a great and convenient location if you are visiting any of the 5 colleges especially Amherst, UMass or Mount Holyoke. However, upon our late night checkin we found that our room was not very clean. THere was some leftover trash in the corner, stained rug, dust on the fireplace screen, moldy tiles in the shower, a musty smell and generally threadbare effect. The worst thing was that sewage was backing up into one of the sinks and it was not while we were running the water. I brought this to the attention of staff but because of the late hour we had to wait until the next day. They graciously switched me to another room the following night which was clean, spacious and just fine. I think they should not use that first room (203) and/or give it a deep clean/refurbishing. In addition the first room it was quite small and had loud air which one could not turn off. Again, the second room did not have this problem. If I stayed again I would request a specific room. As a VIP I did not receive any automatic upgrade, it was only when there was a severe problem with the first room.

This is a fabulous hotel I would recommend it to everyone! Staff were great, easy walking to so many shops and historical places all within blocks of this wonderful hotel

Centrally located Inn at Amherst. Bed was small for a queen and not firm. We were on “ground floor” which is really below ground- windows high up at bottom of sidewalk. Would have been nice to have better shade coverage given this room location

My very expensive room had old water leak marks on the ceiling and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the bedroom. There was no drinking water in the room. You can hear people talking in the hallway When I told the front desk that the wallpaper was peeling and the ceiling had water stain marks on the ceiling they told me they would tell maintenance. That was not helpful to me.
