Quiet little home
Easy to check in is always a plus for our family as sometimes we get to our destinations a little late. All the information we needed was given prior to our arrival. It was super clean and had the essentials. The internet went down the last night I was there so that was a little bummer especially since I was in the middle of a movie. It never came back up until we checked out. Property management was responsive with our needs - it was easy to just chat or call them if there were any issues.

Almost what was expected…
Read all the reviews, so knew what to expect, but was a bit disappointed with the management company. When we arrived, I received a text asking how the cleanliness was, I responded that the bathrooms were dirty with hair all over. They asked me to send a photo and they replied asking what they can do. At that point there no use for them to come “clean” as we arrived from a long drive. No other action was taken, nor did they reduce the cleaning fee which should’ve been done. The main reason we stay at a VRBO is to cook. The oven didn’t work. I again contacted the management company and they offered to come take a look at the oven. They never arrived, even though we insisted, and again nothing was done or taken care of. We didn’t get reimbursed at all, which was disappointing. Otherwise the cabin was again as listed on the site a bit old definitely need some renovations. It smelled like old but it’s an a great location. Kitchen items could be updated as well.

Old but clean
Everything was old but at least it was clean. A new set of pots and pans would be nice. Also I thought it slept 6 but really 4 comfortably. My daughter in law slept with the kids while my son slept on the couch.

Standard older South Lake property. Everything you need for a comfortable stay and in a great location between Heavenly, Kirkwood and Sierra. I would definitely stay here again.

Vintage feel in a quiet neighborhood
The house is spacious, clean, and quiet. Amenities are dated but work (aside from the dishwasher, which did not turn on). The washer and dryer are coin-operated, which was inconvenient. Still, the place is worth the price and would stay again.

70s throwback house
Wow. We needed time to gather our thoughts on this place. It's a good place for sleeping but a bit far from the town. I think this place is up for renovation at some point (It's in desperate need of upgrading!).... the water pressure was phenomenal. The W/D were quarter-operated like a laundromat, which didn't work for us. The fridge served it's purpose but the door flies open. Neighbors are lovely. We appreciate the time we spent there; but definitely consider updating things!

Dated property
The listing shows the lake through trees which gave the impression you could see it from the house. The house is very dated. Some items and the cabinets in the kitchen had old grease on them. The carpet was old but did seem clean.

Very cozy and clean!
Our family absolutely loved this place! They want to come back for a longer stay next time. Only thing I would change would be the deck, I thought it would have more of a view.

Would not recommend
Four of us rented this property for four days. It did have a king bed in one bedroom and a queen in the other. The supposed two twins were fold up cots in the closets with less than 2 inch foam toppers. The disability ramp was too steep and too narrow to qualify as one. The front step was broken and dangerous. The drive way and walkway was uneven and difficult for people with mobility issues to navigate. This property was advertised for six people and only had two outdoor chairs for a front deck that was exceedingly small with a wobbly dangerous rail. The washer and dryer were coin operated. The lamp in the bedroom had come apart with exposed wires that we fixed. There were no lamps in the living room which made it impossible to read in there. The outside garbage container was overflowing. After checking all the cupboards and drawers we could find only 4 forks, 3 knives and no dinner plates, the second day we got smart enough to look in the dishwasher it was full and the dishes had not only not been run they had not been rinsed off when put in, it was gross. Our white bath mat was grey after bring used on the floor. This home was very tacky sixties which would not have been that important if everything else had not happened. Even the coffee pot did not function correctly. Needless to say we will not be back and cannot recommend

Nice Stay in a Nice House
The house was roomy, the furniture was comfortable, and everything was clean and worked well. Having a garage was a HUGE plus during the heavy snow! I only have two minor complaints: the washer/dryer was coin-operated, and foyer door made an awful noise when opened. Other than that, this house was great value for money and highly recommended.

Bring your own bed
I have rented at least 10 times here and this is the first time I have been disappointed - and I was VERY DISAPPOINTED... there are two beds - one was so hard that we ended up sleeping on the couches. Our guests slept on the other bed and it was so soft that they rolled into the middle of the bed all night. AWFUL - when you don't get rest at night then your day is not nearly as enjoyable. HOWEVER the people at the office are always very helpful and pleasant to work with.
