Lovely home with wrap-around front porch in idyllic location in the town of South Haven. Six short blocks to Dyckman Beach, eight short blocks to North Beach. Pass by the picturesque marina on the easy, four-block walk to downtown South Haven, a downtown filled with delectable restaurants, delightful boutique shops, and an old-fashioned movie theater. Steps to the nationally-renowned Kal Haven Trail, kitty corner from the Optimist Tot Lot Park, and just across Dyckman Bridge to Stanley Memorial Park. A fabulous location!



Description of Home: This home has a nice, open floor plan with a large, eat-in kitchen with newly painted cabinets, spacious dining and living rooms, and powder room on the first floor. There are three generously-sized bedrooms sleeping nine total and a full bath with shower/bathtub on the second floor. The home's entire exterior and interior have been tastefully painted. New central air conditioning allows you to relax comfortably indoors. Or you can relax on the wrap-around front porch or on the newly-rebuilt, private back deck overlooking woods, easily accessed from sliding glass doors in the dining room.

Distance from Some Major Cities: South Haven is just over two hours from Chicago and three hours from Detroit. The town and its amenities provide for a wonderful get-away for families and couples alike. A great vacation at a great price.

Long weekend - first beach vacation with little kids
This was the perfect house for our first family vacation! We have three little girls (5,3, and a baby) and we made great memories both at the beach and in this home. We especially loved the porch swing! It was so clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Quaint House in a Quiet Neighborhood
Kyle and Debbie were very nice and quick on communication. The house is bright and well stocked with supplies which is always appreciated. Neighborhood is cute and across the street from a park which is ideal for littles (playground and basketball goal).We love the big front porch. The location is pretty good in regard to distance to beaches and the town, much more doable with rented bikes (less than 10 mins on bikes to North Beach, 20 min walk,15 mins to a small beach which was great to watch the sunset). We drove when all 6 of us were going to the beach as carrying all of our stuff would have been tricky.

Great location!
The house is just as it looks. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The beds are comfortable. Plenty of family friendly dvds, puzzles, and games if you have a rainy day or need down time. Nice large dining room and table with seating. The deck with a grill and the porch are great bonuses. The neighborhood is pleasant and safe. Cute little park on the corner if you have little kids. I have teens so we didn’t use it. The location is ideal!! Very short walk to town and beach.

Charming home with a great location
We enjoyed staying in this house and especially its location. It was one of the most well stocked cottages we have ever stayed in. It had everything we needed, and then some. It was an easy walk to town, and the neighborhood was charming. We would stay here again!

Great location and neighborhood
We felt very safe in this home and this neighborhood. We loved the ease of walking to local eateries. The beds were comfortable and the living room had a nice vibe to hang out and talk in the evenings. The reason I didn't give it a "5" is that it is a little rough around the edges. The porch needs a little attending to (sagging boards and a coat of paint) but it was very clean and convenient.

Great weekend away
My best friend is getting married. A couple of friends and I decided let’s do some king salmon fishing. We aren’t drinkers and fishing is our thing. We had plenty of space and mins away from everything and the water. Thanks again will be back.

Another enjoyable visit to South Haven
Initially the VRBO site had some sort of hiccup in my booking but the property owners were WONDERFUL when they called me to sort it out over the phone. We found the house to be extremely clean with comfortable furnishings. The location was exactly what we were looking for- very quiet neighborhood with easy access to town or the beach. A driveway in which to park our car was great. The wide front porch and back deck for grilling were added bonuses. The only tiny recommendation I might have would be to have a fan or two available for the bedrooms. The upstairs got a little stuffy at night but we had brought a small fan with us and used it at night. We loved the house and location and would definitely return.

Comfortable house, excellent location
We had a lovely time staying here. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Owners were responsive and helpful. It’s an older house with character; the main floor was a bit uneven in places which set off my vertigo. Noting for folks who may be sensitive to that. Bunk beds were great for the kids. Proximity to the playground, marina and downtown shopping was awesome. Front porch and back deck were great to enjoy sitting outside. Neighbors super friendly. We would stay here again!

Nice relaxing stay
The house had everything we needed for our family of four. The kitchen, bathrooms, laundry and linen closets were well stocked. The house is comfortable and spacious and within walking distance to the water. It is also conveniently located to the Kal-Haven trail if you like to jog/walk/bike. Communication with the owners was easy as well. We enjoyed our stay in South Haven.

Clean, comfortable home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Felt like we were staying with friends, not a rental house. Would stay again. First time visiting South Haven. Great town! The beach was beautiful.
