Great Apartment. Poor Communication by Host
Positives; Nice Apartment, quiet location, near the beach, nice resort, clean, good internet.
We had to ring Thomas on arrival, messaging would have been easier and cheaper. It was late when we arrived and there were no provisions in the apartment, water would have been nice as we were tired and dehydrated. The next morning he arrived to take the fee due on arrival. We didn’t get a receipt for this which I find odd.
I reported the air-con failed on Saturday and the shower was leaking. They were repaired Monday but communication was poor with Thomas not responding to messages. I rang him. He was in Germany but promised to come to see us 9:30am Monday. He did not arrive so we left at 10am. He never explained why he didn’t keep his appointment.
I was annoyed he hadn’t contacted us and I decided to ask for €120 compensation for the 3 days the air con was broken. I did this to see if communication would improve. It did but Thomas became argumentative. He accused me of lying! Thomas informed us that the air-con is the responsibility of the apartment block and not in his control. I understand this and if he had visited us as promised I would have been ok.
Thomas is not professional in the way he deals with complaints. When you press him he gets belligerent. He completely refused any compensation.
I think Thomas should put some instructions in English in the apartment to make his U.K. guests feel more welcome.
