Nice hotel on the beach

Pros: It's close proximity to the airport

Cons: The restaurant staff could be a bit more enthusiastic I.e. Smile a bit more.

Location: Location is right on the beach. No idea about things to do nearby as didn't go out of the hotel.

Only stayed overnight so was sufficient for my needs. The receptionists were very accommodating.

Quiet hotel in a beautiful location

The hotel is excellent, in a picturesque location with direct access to a small quiet beach. The hotel is ideally located in a quiet part of the islands south coast, it has excellent transport links to the main resorts, there is a regular bus service (runs every 5 to 10 minutes) from near the hotel which runs the length of the coast into Bridgetown. Taxi's are also reasonably priced and can be easily arranged by hotel staff. There is a good selection of food and drinks available, the staff were extremely friendly and we would definitely stay at Silver Point again!

Peaceful boutique hotel

We had a wonderfully relaxing 10 days at this hotel. The staff were fantastic, they couldn't do enough to help and were so friendly - everything with a smile. It's a very quiet and peaceful location - perfect for us as we needed to unwind, but if you wanted to be near the hustle and bustle or have lots of activities on your doorstep this might not be the place for you. The room was lovely and clean, spacious and nicely furnished. Everything as advertised. The restaurant was great - it would have been nice if the menu had varied a bit more but there was plenty of choice including some good local specialities.

Best holiday ever

Hotel is spot on. Although our room was not directly facing the beach, we had a partial view which was very beautiful. Located at walking distance to the bus stop to catch the local bus to town. We didn't bother with any car rentals or taxis as the 'disco buses' were more fun to be on. Hotel staff were helpful and customer service was excellent. Good value for money and will definitely go there again.

Friendly hotel in beautiful setting

Would definitely recommend this hotel for its beautiful setting, spacious rooms and friendly staff. There is a lovely pool area with plenty of loungers and comfy beds, right on the beach. Some people may feel the hotel is located too far from the action (20 mins by car to St. Lawrence's Gap) but taxis are cheap and being away from the touristy areas meant we had the beautiful Silver Sands beach virtually to ourselves.

Relaxing stay

Just returned from a week's stay at the Silverpoint. Cannot fault the staff at the front desk as they helped us maximise our time with booking all our water sports and dinner reservations. The location of the hotel is a little out of the way being in the far south east corner of the island but taxis are not hugely expensive and always available outside. Buses are easy to take into Bridgetown for any shopping during the day also. However at night, always take a taxi. A few small things about the hotel - the restaurant has a lovely beachside location but the breakfast gets a little monotanous after a few days. It is definitely worth exploring other restaurants like those at the Crane, in St Lawrence's Gap and on the West Coast for dinner. The beach by the hotel at Silver Sands is a mecca for kite and windsurfers precisely because it gets windy and the sea choppy. Hotels further west on the south coast are not nearly as exposed. We loved the breeze but it may not be desirable to some. There is also a small village store in the hotel but it is very sparsely stocked. A decent store is a taxi ride away but water, sun cream and beers are the limit to what's available onsite.
