Sneak away for a romantic getaway at our newly renovated 1930's log cabin in Silver Lake, WA. Just 6 miles from the freeway you can get away from the rush of life, yet still be near conveniences such as a grocery store, gas station, fast food, & a wonderful pizza place for dine in or take out. Within a couple minutes from our cabin you can enjoy our beautiful lakes, Seaquest State Park, beautiful views, Mt St Helens Visitor Center, & fishing year round! We have a fireplace & hot tub as well!
Our wonderful getaway log cabin by Silver Lake was built in the 1930's. Updates were much needed, however, we did keep the original structure, hand built rock fireplace and chimney, beams in the livingroom, and the original layout. We painted, updated plumbing, lighting, added heating and AC, added new flooring throughout the lower level, and updated the appliances.
Upstairs we painted, sanded the original floors and restained, and updated the lighting. As all old cabins go, the stairway is narrow, the powder bathroom upstairs is small, but it is big on style and character!
Upon entering our home, you will see our long farmhouse style table with seating for 8+, as well as our cozy leather furniture tucked around the rock gas fireplace for a good time visiting or curling up with a good book wrapped up in one of our many soft throws.
This cabin is perfect for that much needed romantic getaway with your loved one, or a family friendly vacation for enjoying our peaceful property watching the many deer that browse through our yard daily, or enjoying our vast outdoor recreational activities that surround our property!
In our kitchen area, we provide a new oven, refrigerator, and small dishwasher for your convenience for cooking or baking delicious meals or goodies to share with everyone! For the couple or small group, we have provided a breakfast nook for up to 4 people to sit around our beautiful round oak table and drink that morning cup of joe, or eat a delicious breakfast cooked upon our griddle, or stovetop. Around the back of the kitchen is our galley for whipping up that whipped cream for dessert, using our mixer for batches of goodies, or cooking those wonderful flapjacks! Note: Our kitchen has very few outlets, so the galley will be very useful! We have supplied our guests with baking supplies, baking pans, mixer, utensils, pancake griddle, waffle maker, blender, toaster, and more! Our kitchen is well stocked but you will need to bring food of course, or eat out at our many convenient restaurants just a short drive away!
We have 3 Queen beds, and a twin. All have new mattresses, dust covers, and plush bedding. We have several extra blankets for taking a lovely nap, or adding to your bed for extra warmth if needed.
On the main floor is one bedroom with a queen bed right next to the full bathroom with a shower.
Upstairs is our adorable powder bathroom with a sink and toilet, but big on charm!
Just down the hall are 2 bedrooms. The one on the left is fairly large, charming, and cozy with an Eastlake oak 4 poster queen bed as well as a very comfortable twin bed for extra sleeping space.
In the cupboard, kids will discover a variety of toys and games as well!
The door on the right leads to a smaller, cozy and charming bedroom with a Queen bed, antler chandelier, and black and white artwork on the walls.
Since there is really no Master bedroom, you can choose the room that fits you the best!
Our front porch has a carved oak bench for sitting on out of the PNW rain or snow while drinking a fresh brewed cup of coffee! In the early morning or late evening, you will likely see deer families grazing in our yard or on our property!
At the back of the house is a brand new hot tub to relax in after a long day of recreating or just sticking around our home enjoying our other amenities!
Our large log 2 car garage is for you to access for enjoying games, riding bikes, or just hanging out!
All of our property is accessible inside the fence or at the little creek to the north in the woods. It gets full in the winter, so please use caution!
As for now, our other buildings are not usable for guests. We hope to expand in the near future!
The cabin is accessible except for locked doors. Our washer and dryer are for your use should you want to wash towels or clothing.
The 2 car garage is for your use as it contains games, bikes, space for kids to run around in to get rid of their abundant energy!
