Cozy Southern California Lavender Cottage Sierra Madre

LAVENDER COTTAGE is located in the historical foothill community of Sierra Madre - right next to Pasadena and Arcadia! Just a couple of miles away from the famous Rose Parade route! It is a clean and beautifully renovated two bedroom house on a quiet residential street within walking distance (10 min) from coffee shops and restaurants. Plenty of natural light fills this 1000 sq ft cottage. Enjoy an enclosed private back yard, the newly landscaped front yard, central A/C, heating and new appliances.

Justin and I live right next to the rental and are available to help with anything you need. Let us know if you need anything in particular for you stay and we can get it for you. We intend to make your arrival comfortable and smooth. We provide a door code for an easy self checkin. If you would like, we can meet you and answer any questions you might have.

Please noted there is a queen sofa bed with topper for two extra guests - pillows and blankets are located in the front bedroom closet. Maximum people allowed is 6.
There is a one car garage but you can also park two to three cars in the driveway. Over night parking on the street is not allowed according to city rules.
No parties or events. There is absolutely no cigarette or cigar smoking, vaping of any kind, or pot smoking or drug use on the property. You should not book this property if you think that will be a problem or if you intend to smoke or use drugs away from the cottage and bring back any lingering odors/effects as these things are very difficult to remove from linens, walls, and carpet. Thank you for understanding. No visitors after 11pm. We reserve the right to terminate the rental if complaint from neighbors.

No filming or commercial photography are allowed in the property. A permit is required by the city.

The black trash bin (located in the garage now) is for non-recycle waste, the blue one is for recycle items. Please do not use the green trash bin desinated for the gardener only.

Guests will be informed the pass code for the lock upon their arrival so you can check in and enjoy your stay with privacy.

We are always available to help with directions or inquiries about the best routes and times to travel as well as advice on local life and fare, but we will respect your privacy and leave you to yourself unless advice is solicited. I check in with you by text or phone at some point during your stay to be sure that all is well. :)

Lovely Sierra Madre

Cottage was perfect for a girlfriend getaway to see the Rose Bowl floats at Float Fest. It was dark when we arrived and the access code wasn't working.When we messaged the hosts they didn't reply until several hours later. It was New Year's Eve and they were likely out but it was tense until we realized we were trying to get into the wrong property! We figured it out on our own but the host didn't reply to our text for over 4 hours. We also had to ask about any check out instructions. Communication could be better. But we loved the property and hope it survived the fire. Iwas New Year's Eve but

Wonderful cottage

Loved the quaint cottage and the quaint town and the location at the foothills of some lovely hiking trails. Fresh grapefruit in the morning was delicious! Highly recommend this haven in SoCal!

Lovely cottage in a great location

My sister and I (both senior citizens) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We'd have liked warmer weather, but still managed to visit many of the attractions nearby - Huntington Gardens, the Arboretum, the Gamble house, and more. The cottage was very comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Communication with the owner was quick and easy.

Lovely Cottage

Great Cottage and Location

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was perfect for our visit. We were able to walk to several restaurants and it was a short ride to Santa Anita. Kim was very responsive to a few questions we had and provided recommendations for restaurants. We would stay again!

Paradise in the foothills

Our family was born and raised in the SG Valley. The mountains are part of our life and memories. We rented this sweet and peaceful house to visit our CA family, visiting from our new home in Tennessee. It was so wonderful being so close to the mountains and to hiking trails, just far out enough from the city to have easy access to everything. The VRBO information was extremely accurate and I would highly recommend this tranquil house if you're visiting the area! Thank you to the hosts for a lovely and unforgettable stay.

Beautiful Home

I loved everything about this property. The home is so cozy and in a historic area of Sierra Madre. The owner was very responsive and helpful with any questions I had. I work in Los Angeles but had to commute to the Inland Empire for meetings and this property was a central location to both. I look forward to staying again in the future.

Always Lovely

The Lavender Cottage is always clean and comfortable and equipped with everything we need for our stay and Kim is responsive to any questions we have. Sierra Madre is a lovely little town, away from the busyness of LA but close enough for a day trip to restaurants, museums, parks, and beaches.

Lovely home and neighborhood

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lavender house. The house is lovely, with very comfortable beds and a charming back yard. White roses, lavender and lemon trees were enchanting. We enjoyed walking to and from town. We highly recommend Lavender house.

Quaint Cottage for Peaceful Getaway

We had a great stay at the Lavender Cottage. Centrally located we were able to enjoy the town of Sierra Madre along with a sightseeing trip to Hollywood Blvd. Only minor issue which in no way impacted our visit is they keep the thermostat locked so if you need any adjustment to temperature you have to reach out to owner. Not sure they realize that without code you can not adjust even one degree. The beds are very soft so if you have any back problems beware. Overall a great long weekend for New Years!

Lovely Cottage

Another wonderful stay in Sierra Madre. The Lavender Cottage is clean and comfortable and has everything we need. My husband and I love walking in the neighborhood in the morning and relaxing in the beautiful back yard in the afternoon. We look forward to our next stay.
