This bed and breakfast was so cute and beautiful! I love the personal charm of this place and of course I love that I can support a local resident over a chain hotel. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Working remotely on the wifi was a breeze. I cant wait to book another stay here. 10 our of 10 will visit again.

Wonderful place, Wonderful stay!
The room was beautiful, and had a large bathroom. The bed was so comfy you didn't want to get out of it. The whole place is just beautiful. They had snacks and drinks set up every where, and plenty of little patio areas to sit outside. The owner is super friendly and so we're his dogs! We will definitely be going back!

We stayed at the Fairfield Manor, and we had a wonderful time. The place was filled with a variety of snacks and coffee on demand. Chef John also serves amazing breakfasts and even let us sample some of the food for an upcoming wedding. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people and roaming around the gracious grounds outside our house. My husband and I both had a restful night in a super comfy king-sized bed and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. This was our second time to stay with Chef John, but it won’t be our last!

The high Shreve of the Port
I made the reservation quickly based on reviews without being fully aware it was a b&b. I loved it. John and his dogs were charming and so kind. It was comfortable, peaceful, and beautiful...exactly what you'd hope for and Southern hospitality at its finest. Breakfast was amazing. Friendly fellow travelers. I can't say enough good things. It was worth every penny and then some. I'd come back in a second if the opportunity prevents itself to return to Shreveport.

The grounds surrounding the property were immaculate & well cared for. No lack of attention to detail inside or out. The homes are beautiful & well cared for. Character & Charm of French Quarter was evident throughout the residences & surrounding grounds. Pool surrounded by beautiful massive live oaks was a great relaxed environment in the evenings. Looked forward to breakfast each morning & staff was eager to accommodate. A great find & will recommend to others.
