Two Bedroom, Double Queen - Converted1894 Historic Hotel, Downtown Buffalo Suite

We are a seasonal, pet free, vacation rental property, located in the converted Historic Capitol Hotel Building. We have converted the historic hotel rooms into spacious vacation rentals. Our rentals are located on the upper floor with NO LIFT. We cater to travelers from all over the world from May -October. We are located on Main Street in the heart of the downtown historic district of Buffalo Wyoming.

******* Our key codes change daily. Your key code will be a personal number provided by you.

The Buffalo Suite is a large two bedroom apartment with private laundry room and bathroom.
Entering the Buffalo Suite you walk into the living / dining room. The kitchen is the heart of this vacation rental with all doors leading though this vacation rental. The Buffalo suite has two bedrooms, one with double queen beds and the second smaller bedroom has a full size bed.

I believe you will find all the necessities needed to cook a meal in our spacious kitchen tucked in our cabinets along with a full size stove and oven, refrigerator with freezer, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle and toaster. Air fryer upon request.
Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, breakfast bars and Italian homemade treats replenished daily.

Our walls are warped and our floors are slanted. We restored her history and bought in most of todays comforts like running water, electric, heat and air conditioning. Walk the floors the cowboys did over 100 years ago while you check out the" secret back staircase" that allowed the "ladies of the night" access to the second floor brothel.

Our location can't be beat, We are located in the heart of the downtown dining and shopping district. Crazy women square for city events is located across the street and George Washing Park is located one block behind us. The George Washing Park is home to Wyoming's largest swimming pool, tennis courts, playground and walking paths.

We are honored to be part of your vacation and are 100% committed and honest to our guest about our properties. What we advertise here is exactly what you will find upon arrival.

All Suite's are on the second floor.
You will not find an elevator here, so you must be willing and able to walk the same steps the cowboys did over 125 years ago. (26 steps)

Get the real old west feel while staying in cowboy country. Check out the back staircase the “ Ladies of the night” used to hide from the “ decent folk “ on Main Street. Yes! When renovating we left the original “water closet” ( toilet ) in its original location at the rear of the hallway!

Take a step back in time and stay in one of the oldest buildings in Buffalo. Our unique vacation rentals have been updated with central air conditioning, heat, WiFi and televisions.

We are not a pet/animal friendly property.

Spacious and charming
The renovation of this old hotel is wonderful! It's like walking into history. Our suite was so spacious and super comfortable. Everyone slept really well, and had plenty of room to do projects. The rhubarb bread the host made for us was delicious!! We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you!

Loved it as soon as we opened the door. The historical atmosphere was so inviting and nostalgic. Yet every modern convenience was available. And it was so clean and well put together. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. And thanks for the rhubarb bread.

Recommend for families and any travelers that can do stairs with luggage and want to be in the heart
Discription on VRBO payment explanation was confusing. Perhaps I didn't see it (I will take full ownership)but we weren't prepared for stairs.

Great location
We stayed here for a weekend. Walking distance to all the downtown stuff in Buffalo. Cute, well maintained place above the shops downtown. We found the beds to be comfortable, even the pull out sofa. Would definitely stay here again.

Unique building with lots of space. Expect a few compromises with an older building, but overall fit needs of a family well.

Great stay in Buffalo
Huge apartment on the main street in Buffalo. Our family of four had lots of space. There is one bathroom so it may be tight for a family for an extended stay. Modern conveniences but definitely a historic "occidental" feel. A short walk out the back to a beautiful park along Clear Creek. Owners were very responsive and accommodating. Thanks for a great stay.

Very Pleased with the Place
I reserved this for my husband and 3 early 20’s sons after a backpacking trip. They were happy to have enough space and use of the washer/dryer!

Clean, comfortable and convenient... everything you want in a vacation rental the Capitol Hotel has.

Centrally located to 'all the action'
Went for Fair and Rodeo, and the place is right there on Main Street, so you can walk to lots of places. Not for anyone who has trouble with stairs, however. It's a built-in exercise program...26 stairs to reach the suites. The owner was so helpful though, and we didn't have any trouble. For those attending Longmire Days, it's a perfect place to stay! The Capitol Hotel Suites are just down the street from the historic Occidental Hotel, but you get the added bonus of a kitchen, eating area and TV!

great!
We had a great time at Capitol Hotel. Much roomier than expected. The manager got us well oriented and I appreciated the coffee and coffeemaker. Unit was clean. WiFi worked well. We worked out a couple times at YMCA and also enjoyed the pathway along the river. Buffalo is a beautiful place.
