Delightful bakery located one house down! Lots of lovely historic architecture in the neighborhood. The hood has developed in recent years, and there are a number of new Airbnb’s along Burkitt and around the block. Walking West on Burkitt with deliver you to a creek crossing and a pleasant stroll around well-cared for homes.
You’ll have the entire house and front and back yards to yourselves. There is a single car garage with shop space that I use for storage. There is a remote possibility that it could be made available to you with advance notice and an additional fee. In the unlikely event that I need to access the garage, I guarantee that I would provide thorough advance notice and make agreed upon arrangements with you before accessing the property. I respect the privacy and sense of security of my guests. I will make every effort to ensure you are comfortable and feel safe, secure and at home during your entire stay.
Renovated the space in Spring 2022, refinished the wood floors, replaced kitchen and bathroom flooring, new tile in the bathroom and kitchen, updated appliances, countertops and cabinetry, paint and fixtures. You'll be greeted with eclectic and curated furnishings and decor. I hope is that you feel at home, not like you are stopping over in a generic hotel room.
Burkitt Street is busy during morning and evening rush hours, but we are so close to downtown Main Street shopping and eateries, Third Thursday Street Festival and every Thursday Farmer’s Market that walking or biking is an easy and fun option. I can connect you to bike loans from The Hub. It’s an easy walk or bike ride to our extensive Sheridan Pathways system which connects all the city parks from one end of town to the other. The premier city park, Kendrick Park and Whitney Commons area, Kendrick Park ice cream stand and pool, wildlife viewing area, the library, YMCA, the vista and trails around the Trail End Historic Site at Kendrick Mansion, are all an easy short distance from the cottage’s central location.
Please note that pets are welcome with an additional per pet fee that takes into consideration the length of stay - less for shorter stays, and more for the additional accumulation of hair and dander during longer stays.
The two bedrooms are each equipped with a queen-size bed. One bedroom also has a foldout loveseat with memory foam twin mattress, and the other bedroom has a twin-sized memory foam floor mattress.
