The Hunt House is a beautiful, five bedroom, five bathroom, 2800 sq. ft. home built by Dr. Robert Lee Hunt of Lattimore, NC, in 1932, just 5 miles from Shelby, NC. The home is surrounded by 100 acres of pasture, woods, an 18 hole disc golf course and walking trail. The home is located only 3.8 miles from the Washburn Switch Industrial Park, 30 minutes from the Tryon Equestrian Center, and 15 minutes from the American Legion World Series. Each of the five bedrooms are fully furnished with handmade heart pine, cherry, or walnut bedroom suites. Most rooms feature hardwood floors and antique furnishings can be found throughout the home.
The comfortable living room features a functional fire place. The large front porch with 8 rocking chairs overlooking the newly-landscaped front yard is the perfect place for a conversation or a quiet evening. A full kitchen and adjoining dining room offer opportunities for nice meals or meetings. Visitors have access to a two-car garage and additional parking for up to nine vehicles.
Sidewalks starting in the front yard lead to the quaint downtown of Lattimore and The Depot Cafe, where breakfast is served five days and week and lunch is served six. It is the perfect place to take a morning walk, play disc golf, and see friendly faces.
There is a limited continental breakfast available every morning, but we highly recommend eating at The Depot Cafe, on weekdays, to get the full southern town experience.
