Rooms have recently been renovated so very fresh and updated. Pool was much better than average for this category of hotel. Pool had several depths and areas so easy to find a ni kid apit. I wentcin pool at 9 pm. No kids and large 15 person hot tub. Staff cery helpful! About 5 minutes from wonderful state park qith a beach that reminds me of the endless beaches of the east coast

The motel is under remodeling so hallways with boxes and stuff , not a big deal. Room very clean and comfortable BUT there is terrible lighting in the bathroom. I could barely see in the mirror, used the main room mirror to shave. Breakfast just ok. Staff were fine.

Rennovations were occurring and the room smelled like urine. Other rooms smelled like they just painted which gave some families headaches. I understand it is pet friendly and I personally brought a small dog, but the smell was offputting.

When we checked in we were told there was construction and to excuse the mess. We were not informed there were nails/screws and glass in the parking lot by the door I was recommended to park by. My dog was traveling with us and thankfully he didn’t get anything in his paws and we didn’t end up with a flat tire. The hot tub wasn’t working which I was told at check in. The pool had no lights on, in the pool and in the room where the pool is located. It didn’t seem safe to swim in a room with no additional light so we did not let our son swim. There was a used tissue on the floor by the bed when we checked in. No disinfectant to clean gym equipment after use. Difficult to get questions answered at front desk after check in.
