Nice but a few issues
There were live bugs...termites and centipedes in the loft bed. The A/C stopped working on our last day there. Outside of the pest issues and a warm night, it was a pleasant stay.

Great location
We loved the location and cleanliness of the property. The couple of maintenance issues that we had were addressed promptly. The only downside for us was that it did not provide salt/pepper, a useable spatula (there was only one there and it was for the grill), or a container to make/keep iced tea in. We have just come accustomed to those being provided at all of the other VRBO properties that we have stayed at, so we just had to go out and buy our own.

Property was amazing. The road yes winding but we love that, and was paved even better. The cabin was clean and the garage for our bikes was awesome. I would book this again.

Do not rent from this rental company
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! We are on day 2 of our vacation and it has been nothing but complications with the house we rented and the supervisor is non existent and clearly they don't care about their clients. Even the call center told us she is non-responsive and they can't ever get her to answer her phone. Surpervisors dont work on weekends so don't expect anything to be resolved Day 1, June 16th after driving 9 hours we had no working toilets. Check-in is at 4, maintenance leaves at 5. Never have we ever worked with a rental company that doesn't have on call maintenance. They said they would have someone out to us the next day. That's unacceptable and we demanded someone come out that night. They had to call a 3rd party plumber to come out. He showed up at 10:00pm. He was great and he temporarily fixed the toilets but said they would need to come back out here and repair the real issue or else this will keep happening. Day 2, June 17th we went to Dollywood and came home at 9pm to a bunch of black casings that had fallen from the loft beam on the ceiling onto the bed my daughter was sleeping in. There is clearly some kind of bug up there because our daughter got but by something on her hand overnight and her hand blew up and we had to spend our morning in an urgent care. She's now on antibiotics and steroids for the remainder of our vacation. Bear Camp Cabins and VRBO clearly could care less. There's more to the story but I'm only allowed 1500 characters

Great little cabin. No issues except the hot water. Just didn’t last long enough for 2 kids and one adult. Not long showers. Just average. Great neighborhood. Close enough to pigeon Forge. But also remote. Clean. Great beds. Gated access. Will stay again

Worth it!!
I was very excited for this cabin. We have been coming to this area for several years but used another cabin company. I didn't find anything I liked and had good luck with Vrbo in the past and gave it a try. I immediately went to the reviews to see what I needed to bring. Over the years I have learned to bring certain things, like extra trash bags, zip lock bags, extra paper towels etc, but the reviews give you hints for other things. For example, in the past reviews people mentioned needing a bigger pot, a can opener etc. I packed those things to include a wine opener (too many winerys not to have one) but when i got there they had those items there. Which meant the owners listened to their reviews and found ways to improve and that was impressive. There wasn't any laundry soap though, do bring that. If not there are plenty of grocery stores on the way to the cabin and a Dollar General less than a mile away. The cabin was clean for the most part. The walls are showing dirt, especially around the light switches. There was a strange stain on the thermostat I needed to clean, I'm hoping it was chocolate and nothing else. It could use a good deep clean but I was happy there was no dust, and so were my allergies. I was also happy to see they have added a love seat in the living room. We traveled with three kids and I was nervous about them fighting over the couch, but thankfully no issues there. We did have some issues with plumbing and the kitchen sink and I called the cabin company and they came out the next day. However we had to call a second time because what we explained about the issue was lost in translation but they came back out again. However, when maintenance left they also left the front door unlocked. Wasn't thrilled about that. The hot tub needs to be cleaned. It was filthy and slimy. I wouldnt use it until they clean it. We also noticed the night before we left there were bugs in the kids beds. Ants and some other looking silver thing (not silver fish). It was raining and bugs tend to come in cabins when rain happens but in the beds was gross. My son got bit pretty bad all over from the ants. We called on the day we checked out and made them aware. All in all, this was a great trip. We would stay again, because we are excited to see what they are doing in the basement.

Very nice stay
Our property was clean and in good order. My mother has difficulty seeing in the dark and could have used brighter lighting inside. Also, we only had 1 dish rag and 1 dish towel, and we could have used a few more. Overall a good experience.

Very Clean!
Overall I would recommend this place. I have horrible allergy to dust and mold, so renting a place for vacation always makes me a little nervous. My allergies didn't bother me at all here with the bedding or central AC unit. Our only complaint was that the plumbing seemed a little messed up. The water was really hard to get turned off without a constant drip in the bathroom sink and toilets made some funky noises while flushing. Overall had a great stay with my my husband, 2 yr old and parents.

Family Vacation
Have to say overall we enjoyed our stay at this property. We stayed 4 nights with 7 people. 4 adults, 3 young children 7, 3 and 2. Pros: Location is great! 2 very close wineries within a 5 minute drive from the cabin. Very close to the Smokey Mountain National Park, approx 15 min. Also a very reasonable drive to Pigeon Forge. Location is definitely the best thing about this cabin. Cons: Our family likes to cook and it is NOT a fully stocked kitchen like advertised. 2 pots, 1 small, 1 medium, no large pot. 1 medium size skillet. NO SERVING SPOONS. No salt or pepper. They did have a few casserole dishes, baking/muffin/roasting pans. Plenty of glasses, forks/spoons and coffee mugs. The yard advertised is overrun with poison oak/ivy and steep. The yard/fence definitely need some maintenance. We couldn't let our kids play there. The Hot Tub needs a deep cleaning! Slime on the walls and debris on the bottom. VERY PARTATIAL VIEW in the summer. The downstairs bathroom had a very musty smell. The two toilets can't be flushed if the dishwasher or shower is being ran at the same time. This cabin has so much potential to be great!

Meet in the middle
Met my best friend here for a long weekend with our 4 kids. There was plenty of space. The owners creating the little bunk bed “room” was super smart. It’s heated/cooled but because it was previously part of the porch they also have a window unit in there. Without the window unit in use it was far too cold to be out there while we were in town. But the window unit warmed it right up! There were 5 women/girls and thus hair dryer being added to the cabin is my only recommendation.

The cabin was gorgeous! Perfect for our family getaway for Halloween. The location was wonderful. The cabin has so much potential excited to see what they do in the unfinished basement area/garage. The only flaw we had was the hot tub had an awful smell and had slime along the sides.

Great cabin
We have 7 people in our family and we all fit comfortably inside this beautiful cabin. We wanted to be in the woods and somewhat secluded and you definitely feel that way in this cabin. We even saw a bear and her 2 cubs! The cabin is very clean and they start you off with some essentials which was very nice. You are also very close to everything. We went hiking in the mountains, to pigeon forge and gaitlinburg and they were all quick and easy to get too. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location
Mockingbird Nest was in a great location for our family. We wanted to spend our time hiking in the park, but it was still close enough to Pigeon Forge to do all the touristy things should you want to go that route. The hot tub was a hit after long hikes. The kids loved Alexa! There are several good restaurants nearby as well. We had everything we needed, and the covered parking was very nice on the one rainy day we had! The only “issue” we had was that the hot water didn’t last long when 5 people are trying to get showers. We fixed that after the first night and learned to spread them out while some just stayed in the hot tub longer! It was a great week in the Smokies!

Excellent stay
This cabin was the perfect size for our party of 6. It was close to just about everything we wanted to do, especially ziplining. The beds were very comfortable. I liked that the cabin had a listing of common insects you will see and a little info about them. The road to get up to the cabin was pretty easy after you get the hang of it. I plan to return the next time my family plans a trip.
