Had a last minute layover in Seoul and most of the hotels were fully booked. Travelodge Dongdaemun is a 5-10 minute walk from the heart of Dongdaemun and a 10-minute walk to Gwangjang Market. If you take transit, it’s a few bus stops or few subway stations away from Myeongdong. Airport limousine bus 6001 has a stop across the street at Baiton Hotel. The staff here are very helpful. The queen room I was assigned to has lots of wear and tear and the glass panel adjacent to the sink wasn’t clean. The room would feel tight for 2 people. There is a Wow Pass machine in the lobby and luggage scale. Overall, I enjoyed my short stay here.

Okay stay
Stay was okay. Good room to get if not spending much time in room. Got the triple single bed room, rooms were small with small window. Arrived late and mostly just used the room to sleep and shower which it did its job. A little overpriced for a one night stay for a small room in my opinion.

Rude, not foreign friendly staff, dirty rooms. Not for foreigners. We were greeted by a memeber in the middle of the night arrival who was particularly rude, unhelpful and couldnt even confirmed whether we were at the right hotel or not. He was yelling at us to pay foe the taxi, which we intend to, had we known we are at thw right place. The rooms are extremely dirty and unhealthy.

I like the location of this hotel, which is very close to the area's two public markets where there are many options for street food. Very close to subway stations and a major shopping area (Dongdaemun Design Plaza)., with lots of restaurants. Room small but clean. The only down point is the room does not have good noise insulation so we can even hear people next to us coughing. Staff are good in English and quite friendly and polite.

I would highly recommend this hotel . The area of Seoul it is located is close to 3 coffee shops , a cultural park , the subway station ,shopping malls, and dinning options all with in a 5 to 15 min distance via walking . The subway station is literally located outside the doors of the hotel . Down stairs from the hotel is a conscience store with several basic goods and 5-10 min down the street there are several coffee shops. A Starbucks being one of them. The staff were very helpful and patient to help me navigate the city . The laundry was easy to do and cost 3000$ Won. There are also 3 money exchange locations with in walking distance .

They advertise that they have a restaurant in the hotel , they do not , also on check out I handed over one plastic key card the staff were insistent that I need to go back to the room and retrieve the second one otherwise I would be charged !, can not understand the thinking behind this
