I rented the Parlor House for my daughter's bridal party and other wedding helpers in the days surrounding her wedding. The home comfortably accommodated 8 guests and had ample space and supplies in the modernized kitchen to cook for the group, along with both indoor and outdoor dining tables. The large mounted TV provided entertainment, and when connected to our laptop, served as a karaoke machine for a couple of hours of fun.
The Parlor House combines a modern refresh with the charm of a bygone era - restored wood floors, high ceilings, and vintage parlor furniture. The home was clean and each bedroom featured fresh linens and towels and a closet. Each room has a ceiling fan and an a/c unit. One bedroom has a king size bed, another a double bed, and the third has 2 twin beds. A queen airbed is also available.
The home is very near the city square, with shops and restaurants in walking distance. Texas Lutheran University is a short drive, and city parks are also close by.
Our host Adam was very responsive; when we had an issue, he tended to it right away.
Check-in was super easy with a coded entry, and check-out was also a breeze.
The home is not wheelchair accessible as it has 5 or 6 steps up to the entry at both the front and back doors.
