The only thing good about this place it is its location. Close to Pike’s market. 1. Greeted by the staff who made comment about unloading our staff to check in. Was the expectation was to carry my luggage and my kids from the garages across the street? Way what? Why? Let me checkin and then i will park my car. 2. You will be charged additionally 120$ for any additional service charges as a deposit. Other 4 star hotels will return moneys automatically when you check out. They said that they need to wait next business day. 3. The room thermostat controlled by someone downstairs. They put temperature to 76F then i asked them to keep it at 69-70F, woke up in the middle of the night to 64F. Freezing cold! 4. They give you 2 tokens ($15 each) for drinks and foods for downstairs. We ordered $26 burger :) and paid extra 16 dollars for fees etc 5. Rooms don’t have tea or normal coffee. I tried their pour over Vita and was disappointed. Luckily there are plenty of coffee shops nearby. 6. Noise level. If you have a meeting, forget about privacy you can hear everyone in the hallways.

Gem in downtown Seattle
The State Hotel was absolutely gorgeous and comfortable. I can't recommend it enough as a comfortable stay in Seattle. The proximity to downtown and to Pike Place is amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here a few years ago and had an amazing time. We were sadly disappointed with this stay. Couple issues in our room: the shower was not clean (could see residue build-up on the glass, and the gifted waterbottles had been previously opened... neither of the 2 had the seal intact... ick).; and we connected with front desk staff about two requests - to book us a dinner reservation and look into a breakfast for us, we we never heard back about either. The restaurant was also very meh... Don't think we'll be back.

Amazing location. The market is right across the street and easy to get to the waterfront or bell town. Room was small, but price was right and it was very clean. 10/10 would stay here again.

We were only in Seattle for one night but our stay at the State Hotel made it a real treat. The hotel itself is gorgeous and looks to be newly renovated. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. The artwork and wallpaper throughout the hotel are a nice touch. The restaurant downstairs, Ben Paris is delightful, and a nice spot for dinner or drinks. (Recommend going early if you want to get in on weekend brunch, it’s very busy) The hotel is a block away from Pike Place and within walking distance to DT shopping and attractions. Parking is offsite, about a block away but at less than $30/day seems to be a steal. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, would definitely recommend The State.

Great location - steps from Pike Place Market, lots of great restaurants nearby, with a nice lobby, bar and restaurant attached. My room was really quiet, clean, and comfortable. Anytime I needed something - from restaurant recommendations to extra towels - the staff was really responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location near Pike Place Market
The State Hotel was a great location for our short trip to Seattle this fall. It’s about a block to Pike Place Market and lots of restaurants and shops. When we checked in, the staff at the desk were very helpful and friendly. We were able to get our luggage to our room and park in the hotel’s lot in about 20 minutes. We quickly walked to the market before it closed and had dinner at a nearby restaurant. It started to rain, and we were glad we only had to walk a short distance to get back to the hotel. The room was smaller than some we’ve stayed at, but very comfortable. I laughed at the robes provided, but wore it as often as I could with the wet, chilly weather. We received a couple food and drink tokens when checking in, and used them the morning we left for breakfast. The restaurant had a nice variety of choices and we enjoyed the meal.

Great location and nice vibes at this hotel. Bizarre decor in the rooms though (does anyone want men staring at them whilst sleeping?) Staff was pretentious and a little rude. 3.5/5 all in all.
