This is a strange hotel to review - once a grand building, now very tired. The room we had was spacious but it took 5 mins to get in and out as the key was temperamental. I had to show ladies a few doors down how to operate theirs, too (so not just us). One socket in the whole room. The tiny reception wasn't manned very often. The area outside was ropey (didn't feel safe unless accompanied) but I have to say, the location of the hotel is great for visiting Pikes Market etc.
i really dug the twin peaks atmosphere and history

Room was fairly clean, but I found a half full bottle of wine under the table in my room, and my husband saw a cockroach in the lobby. Lots of homeless people and drug use on the sidewalk outside. Staff was friendly and informative, but they charged us $30 to have a friend hangout in our room for a few hours.
Didn't allow an early check in. Too small shower and sink.

Excellent location for our two stays either side of a cruise, plus very close to Pike Place and some wonderful bars. The hotel is slightly tired, however it doesn't detract from the high standards that the staff set. The Moore coffee shop next door is excellent too for some breakfast.
Realized there would be no air conditioning. Did not have heating, need for cold seasonal weather ... was going to be a colder night than usual. Small refrigerator was sitting on the floor. No place (desk) to do work on lap-top. Difficult to access additional outlets for lap-top, was behind TV counter.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location. It is old and tired. The bathroom and in particular the shower need to be cleaned. The staff try hard but they have little to work with.
Convenient , downtown boutique type hotel walk to Pike Street Market Pier , Suggested good sites including Virginia Inn for dinner ( very good ) Service and room were very good caught shuttle Good place to stay
Hotel was historic and lovely as was the staff. Location to everything you could want to see in Seattle can’t be beat. The homeless problem in the area, like many cities, is very sad.
The Moore is very convenient to downtown Seattle and fairly priced for that asset alone. The rooms and building are definitely dated but I liked the original architecture and clawfoot tub. The front desk staff were kind and held my bags for me while I explored the city prior to my flight. The room was a bit warm on check in but after opening the windows, was more than comfortable for an October evening.
The room was comfortable. It’s an old hotel but in decent shape. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We asked for a room with a street view and we got a view. From about 10 pm - 5 am the people that “ live” on the streets come alive and very “ active “ . The area was safe during the day but in the morning you can see broken bottles, used needles and trash from what was left afterwords. There is a drug needle drop spot a half a block over , which is basically someone dropping off a pile of wrapped needles on the ground.

This is a older property but it is clean and the staff is helpful. I have stayed here twice will stay there again. Great location everything was walkable. Not fancy but affordable. It feels very historic.
Very Comfortable, big room, good beds, location was great. However, in general in spite of the beautiful tourist areas, there are many homeless at downtown.
