Hotel Max has an amazing vibe! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the stay even better. The location is super convenient, perfectly situated between Pike Place Market and Capitol Hill, making it easy to explore the area on foot. The next time I'm in Seattle, Hotel Max will definitely be my go-to place to stay!

Great location and price compared to other hotels in Seattle. They provided complimentary coffee/tea each morning as well as “beer hour” in the evenings which were big perks for us! Hotel was clean and comfortable. My only concern is that only one elevator was working and it was very small but that was the only inconvenience in the entire trip - so not bad at all!

So based on 2 different stays over a 2 weeks period: Pros: Staff is super friendly, extremely central location in downtown, walking distance to South Lake Union, Capitol Hill, buses, tram, light rail. Cons: We had wifi in one room but barely any signal in another, we had to go downstairs to use it. No coffee machine in the room, but free coffee downstairs in the morning only. No room service. Only one very small elevator was working over our 2 different stays so waiting time was sometimes long.

The hotel was decorated very well. However, there were issues. Below are the problems I and others encountered. 1) Two main elevators with One out of service. The working elevator was only able to hold three guests comfortably. The elevator was very slow and loud. 2) Bedroom & bathroom were small. 3) When you call the front desk you'll more than likely be put on hold for at least 4-7 minutes each time you call. 4) The hotel ONLY offers car valet service that is not $55/Night as shows on the hotels.com reservation. You will pay $55/Night PLUS 14.7% TAX. This was a tax that didn't make sense and I asked why it was so high and why that $55 didn't include taxes and fees. The person at the counter couldn't give an explanation. The valet closes at 11:00pm. 5) The provided bathroom soaps made my skin itch and cause my skin to dry out. I needed to get my own sensitive soap and lotion. 6) During check-in, I was not offered my Hotels.com $21 credit for food and drinks. I had to ask about it and finally got that credit issued. 7) During check-in, I was not offered a room upgrade. I asked about it after getting to my assigned room, and the hotel receptionist stated they could not upgrade my room at that time. I asked is that was an option through my Hotels.com status. He stated that he wasn't sure and I needed to call Hotels.com with that question. 8) Throughout my stay I could hear my up stairs neighbors having sex and others coughing loudly. Sound insulation needed.
