What a great hotel I love this concept simple check-in with self service, but there is a front desk person to help you navigate through the process and then I got my key went upstairs and the room was cute and tight and space efficient and I had an excellent view… also I had breakfast downstairs and the food was actually very good and very clean and very precise in the attendance/cashier was very upbeat and personable and had a smile…. I love this concept from Amsterdam and I will definitely stay here or the other locations because this is the future of hotel accommodations is simplicity with sophistication and reasonably priced so thank you.

Check in was RIDICULOUS and I felt completely put off by the system they have in place. Because of this I will not be staying at a CitizenM ever again. Rode the elevator up to my room after the disastrous check in process and a housekeeping attendant that had a huge bin on wheels full of STINKY trash came into the elevator with me so not only did I feel put out by the check in process- I got to smell like trash for the next hour. Little tidbit for the hotel- if your staff shares an elevator with guests, maybe if they have a huge bin on wheels full of STINKY trash- they could wait for an elevator without guests that spent a lot of money to stay there. This did not help my situation whatsoever after the disastrous check in process. I had not even seen my room yet and I was completely put off by this place. Now for the quirkiness of the room: nowhere to hang any of your bathroom towels, wet towel from the shower- where do you hang it? I improvised with a hanger from the "closet". They also do not provide wash cloths (only 2 shower towels and 2 sink hand towels). Only plug in the whole room is under the TV and nowhere near the bed. Not a single cup is provided in the room either so when brushing your teeth you need to use your hands. For the price of this room, I would expect some kind of cup provided. The bed was comfortable, and the hotel was quiet are the only 2 things I feel met my standards for this type of hotel. I have pics, but do not see a space provided in this review.
after a shower- nowhere to put your toiletries and flooded bathroom after shower- where is the shower curtain? The floor was flooded afterwards. I had to pull in the bench from the room to use for holding the towel and my essentials.
my hack to be able to hang my wet towels so that I could use them again the next day.
This is the sink- this is all the room you get in the bathroom to hold your essentials AND the hand towels which do not get to dry off when wet.
Big pet peeve of mine- don't you love sitting on a toilet seat that doesn't fit the toilet seat? Love feeling that cold porcelain that you hope they bleached on your butt! eeewww

This hotel has the best value for your money. It is affordable, the bed was comfortable, you get your own iPad to control the amenities in your room. And if you get an ocean view, it is so beautiful it is priceless. We will be staying here again!
