The Space:
This home was built at the turn of the century and combined the popular federal design with aspects of antebellum and colonial styles. Beautifully kept through the years, the home still features original wood flooring, an original fireplace, and original hand-crafted crown modeling. Built on the grounds of the original Trustees’ Garden, this historic area of Savannah has played a significant role in Savannah’s history. First as an experimental garden, then as various military forts and Ironworks, and now as an incredible combination of beautiful venues. You are genuinely staying atop Savannah’s history with a stay at The Retreat on Broad.
Enter the apartment through a private entrance and immediately step into an open floor plan with original heart pine floors, two flanking fireplaces, and high ceilings with oversized windows filling the space with natural light.
The living area and kitchen flow perfectly together, creating an inviting space perfect for cooking and relaxing after a day of exploring. In the living room, enjoy an oversized sofa and smart TV ready to stream your favorite shows. The kitchen features all custom cabinetry and copper-tone granite countertops. Brand-new stainless-steel appliances and all the essentials provide you with everything you need to cook full meals during your stay.
Step from the kitchen to a long dining room that leads to your private balcony that has beautiful skyline views and overlooks a shared courtyard. The terrace features comfortable outdoor seating for four, while the handcrafted dining table provides seating for six.
The apartment's two ensuites are located at opposite ends of the living room. The first ensuite provides a king mattress with crisp linens, plush pillows, relaxing tones of blue and white, and a smart TV. Four oversized windows provide ample natural light, and the original heart pine floors add a warm touch to the room. Directly off the suite is your private bathroom with a pedestal sink and low-entry shower wrapped in white subway tile.
The second ensuite is outfitted with a new queen mattress and fresh white linens. The room has ample closet space, a smart TV, and a dedicated workspace ideal for working remotely. In the corner of the room, enter the suite's private bathroom with a pedestal sink and shower/tub combination. All bathrooms are supplied with the essentials, including toilet paper, towels, shampoo, body wash, and a hair dryer.
Are you traveling in a slightly larger group? The living room sofa pulls out into a full mattress providing a third sleeping accommodation.
Are you working remotely during your stay? Our fiberoptic WIFI provides sufficient speeds for video conferencing and multitasking.
Guest Access:
You may use/access anything in the apartment. Our home is yours! We encourage you to use the rear porch to enjoy some morning coffee or evening cocktails :)
The Neighborhood:
Located on the east side of the Historic District- North, The Retreat on Broad puts you minutes from the Savannah River Walk, Kehoe Iron Works at Trustees’ Garden, and incredible dining and entertainment.
Travel two doors down to Savannah’s oldest standing structure at the Pirate House. Walk inside the historic inn to grab delicious American eats with a pirate theme and southern flare.
Enjoy excellent dining options by heading towards the riverwalk and stopping into The Olde Pink House for fine southern dining. Grab some laid-back bites and brews at Spanky’s Pizza Galley & Saloon. Enjoy delicious southern dining with a river view at Huey’s or Vic’s on the River.

Getting around is easy with walkable streets, bike rentals, and uber service. Jump on Savannah’s public transit system with the Oglethorpe & E Broad bus stop just a 5-minute walk from the townhome.
Ready for a little on-the-water adventure? Try out the Savannah Belles Ferries to see the beautiful skyline of Savannah from the riverfront.
Getting Around:
There's a FREE shuttle that picks up right out front at the Pirate's House!. This is a free "trolley" style bus that circles around the Historic District and stops at a lot of attractions. Additionally, there is The Downtowner which is a City-ran "uber" just download the app and they will pick you up for free! Aside from that, we recommend using Uber/Lyft to get where you need. If you find free parking near the apartment, stay there! You can walk to just about anything in the City! :)
Other Things to Note:
Best way to park is download the Park Savannah app so you can pay the meter at your convenience. You can park right out front or on the adjacent streets, there is typically plenty of availability on this area.

Do not smoke on the property or near the home. Clean up all smoke butts.
