Older hotel. Only double and King beds. Bathroom water smelled like sulfur (which may be all of Savannah). No microwave or mini fridge. Wasn't a deal breaker but just an observation. Lobby was very nice!

The Desoto was absolutely beautiful. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was fabulous and the view was stunning. It was so close to many different things in the historical area. I would definitely stay here again my next time in Savannah.

Very nice unique hotel with a historical boutique vibe. Good location and close walk to all the major attractions. The only issue we had was a very odd paranormal moment late at night. My girlfriend saw a shadowy figure walk past her in the dark twice before bed time. I myself did not see it but I did hear some strange sounds. But after further review we did find out this hotel has a history of hauntings.. but apparently that’s a Savannah thing. Do what this information what you will. Other than that great town to check out! :)

**"A Unique Stay with City Charm"** This property was truly exceptional and provided a charming experience. I particularly appreciated the personal touch from the concierge, Becky. She was extremely helpful, kind, and pleasant, answering all of our questions about daily activities and dining options. Transportation was easy to access, and the surrounding area felt safe. The highlight of my stay was the balcony view, which offered a lovely glimpse of the historic properties in the area.

Dog friendly!
I was not expecting a $150.00 pet fee. We were there8 hpursat night. They put us in a room right outside the elevator, which isn't a good location for someone with a dog. He was on alert most of the night.

Very nice hotel but
It was a very nice clean hotel. But the only problem we encountered was that they charged $45 a day for parking, even if you are staying there. I did not notice that when I booked through Hotels.com We could have stayed at another hotel that had a higher star rating, with free parking for the extra $45 a day. I thought I had put in the filter that I wanted a hotel with free parking.
