Stayed for several days for a running event and was very pleased. The staff were so helpful; room was quiet, clean and very comfortable. One elevator was out of order but I wasn’t too inconvenienced. Very close to everything in historic district.

No valet service snd cant use parking garage due to busted pipe. Had to drive around for 30 min looking for a place to park on street …, get quarters to pay meter and hope i dont get towed overnight with my rental. Then I had to lug all of my bags multiple blocks to get to hotel. Room service had to be called 3 times because they just never showed the first two times. I am NOT impressed . This Room was nearly $500

First off, the safe didn’t work. The lock to lock the door didn’t work. The phone to call the front desk didn’t work. Calling from my cell phone just put me on hold for 20 minutes so I gave up. No hairdryer in the room. Only one elevator works and you wait forever, especially if someone is pushing a cart into the elevator in which case only three or four people can fit. They don’t supply with… “Do not disturb” tags for the door. The maid would pound all my door at nine am every morning . Another time the door just opened on its own and luckily I had the hasp holding the door shut, because like I said the door wouldn’t lock. This was a $500 per night hotel and I definitely won’t be going back.

This review is mainly for the breakfast...which was AMAZING! Hotel itself was good. Very conveniently located, staff was incredibly nice. One elevator wasn't working and the lobby was a little crowded but those are the onky complaints. We had a suite and it was cool, quiet and comfortable. Anyway...back to the breakfast. Our room came with free breakfast so I wasnt expecting much but holy moly...everything we had was delicious. In three days we had... the catfish and grits (which was great and the fried okra on it was outstanding), low country eggs benedict, biscuits and gravy and the shrimp and grits twice. So, so, so, so good. Highly recommend.
