You'll love being located 1.5 miles from Unicoi Lake for fishing, hiking, and lakeside picnicking. Travel four miles to the heart of the Bavarian alpine town of Helen for a horse-drawn carriage ride, boutique shopping, and dining options, and don't miss the breathtaking 60-foot Raven Cliff Falls (eight miles away). Take a raft or a tube down the Chattahoochee River, or race above it, suspended from a zipline!

Featuring an all-wood interior and plenty of space for an unforgettable weekend among the trees, this cabin also has all the modern conveniences of home. The living room has a sofa, cable TV, and a seasonal wood-burning fireplace -- perfect for warming the entire cabin on chilly autumn or winter nights. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of accessories, utensils, and appliances, including a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, and dishwasher. There's a table for two for sipping coffee, playing cards, or enjoying a home-cooked meal. The romantic bedroom boasts a king bed, a full bathroom with a shower, and a two-person, heart-shaped Jacuzzi. The screened deck boasts a private hot tub, bistro set, gas grill, and a fantastic view of the surrounding forest.

My hugs and and I stayed here for 4 nights in December. We loved it. It was was clean, cozy and remote. Just what we wanted. A short 10 minute drive takes you into Helen GA. We had a fantastic thunderstorm come through one night and this little cabin was the coolest place to be in during the storm. The mattress is soft, it’s not like our mattress at home but it works. It was a great little isolated place, we would do it again.

Could not sleep either night because all the acorns that were beating on this tin roof for two nights, like at least 300 times a night. I asked for a compensation and haven’t heard from y’all. It’s been over three weeks. I will not stay with vacasa ever again.

Yuck

The bed was horrible. The jacuzzi had repairs needed that the management had the parts for but hadn’t fixed before we arrived. I spoke in person to them and they didn’t have a handyman available due to illness. I wouldn’t recommend this unit to anyone.

This cabin was a huge disappointment. The road to the cabin is treacherous. It was muddy & gravel, with washed out areas. It definitely needed to be regraded. Upon entering the cabin, it was notable that kitchen appliances are outdated & show extreme wear & tear. The microwave door is cracked & glued together with plastic pieces hanging off of it. The electric range has paint chipping, & the grease pans are rusted & filthy. The fridge has no ice maker. Additionally, there is only one small Frigidaire heating/cooling unit for the entire cabin, & with the high ceilings, this unit cannot cool the entire cabin. The cabin needs a humidifier-it has a musty, mildewed smell, reminiscent of rotting leaves & wet dog. In the sitting area, the fake leather sofa has seen better days, as has all the furniture and cabinetry. The bed is very squishy, & lumpy with a significant dip in the middle. The TV is equipped with an old Fire Stick. As the Wi-Fi/internet connection is unreliable, watching streaming TV is frustrating with all the buffering. Also, you can’t watch TV from the bed, as it appears in the photos. The screened in porch is okay with a gas grill, but be prepared to clean it, because it is filthy. The heart-shaped whirlpool tub in the bedroom area has broken/cracked jets, which are also dirty, as is the filter. I would never use it just on appearance. We stayed 1 night of 3 nights booked, choosing to lose our money rather than stay in a dump.

Missing amenities...

Totally loved the peaceful setting of this cabin. We really felt like we were the only ones around. This cabin needs a few amenities to help make it more user friendly. Example: Needs hooks on the walls - every where. A big help... especially in the bathroom. The kitchen is very dark, needs to be well lighted to cook. We put a lamp on the fridge! Minor upgrades definitely needed. Other than those few "complaints" ALL GOOD.

Nice, clean, close to town

Very cute cabin in the woods. Not far from town at all, but far enough to escape from the “tourist” feel. There is a hot tub on site that is not working. Pretty disappointed that it is shown in the pics and mentioned in all the reviews, but no one cares enough to get it working. Overall, the cabin was cute and very clean. Was great for my husband and I, and will be back to visit another cabin in the area with a functional hot tub.

Great in pictures… not in person

Photos online looked great and we were excited to stay. When we arrived, there was a sign on the hot tub that said it was not working and we couldn’t use. We were never notified it was out of service. At least we had the jacuzzi tub… there was still hair and gunk from the previous renters. It was never cleaned. The mattress was so worn down there is a sink hole in the center. Dust (full dust bunnies) were everywhere. Looked as if the floor hadn’t even been swept. Vacasa text and asked about the cleanliness, we voiced our concern and they seemed unbothered and said if there were anymore concerns, the rapid response team would assist us, because you know, a dirty cabin obviously doesn’t warrant a rapid response. Will not be staying here again.

Out of Order Amenities & Horrible Customer Service

It does the job, but I was super disappointed with the amenities and the customer service. We were informed the hot tub was out of service, so I asked if we could cancel due to the fact we only booked here for the hot tub. We were instead refunded a $30 “hot tub fee.” I would’ve fought this, but I thought it would be fine because there was a jacuzzi bath inside- it was also not working and continued to drain with the cheap drain cover they provided as well as the jets not working. When I messaged AND called about this after waiting hours for a response I was finally told over the phone that I would get a call from the local vacasa workers and they would come out and look at it- that never happened. Over text, the representative I went back and forth with KEPT insisting there was not a jacuzzi in my place, only a hot tub that was out of order- as I was looking at a jacuzzi with a sign by it that literally said “jacuzzi.” They finally told me again that local workers would look into it- which again, never happened. on top of ALL of that, the place is very in need of some touching up- the couch is weathered, stove is outdated, staining in the bathroom and lamps, cheap bedding, etc. However, like I said it served its purpose as a place to sleep at, but did little more than that. The customer service ensured I will make sure I never stay a Vacasa stay again.

Spiderwebs everywhere, fridge shelves dirty, screen on porch ripped, dead bugs on porch, lighting was terrible in kitchen area for cooking, Hot tub did not work pump overheating, hot tub was chopped in areas. Horrible condition. loud noises from something hitting the roof all throughout the night. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. It sinks in the center. We could not get comfortable at all in this bed. Rented for 2 nights but only stayed 1 night. This cabin needs quite a bit of work inside and out.rug on front porch old and wore out. Not an inviting first impression. Very very disappointed and upset that I spent this kind of money as a birthday surprise for my husband and this is what we got.!!!

On reserving I sent the manager a message that was never replied to. Once arriving at the cabin after a long, stressful drive, the hot tub was cold and had a "failed" message on the keypad. I immediately contacted the number for VACASA and was told that they would contact he property manger. I didn't get a call until the next day at about noon, 2 hours after we had left the property.

Could be five star with a little work.

Great location for visiting Helen, and surrounding area. If owners would invest in a 55 inch TV and Satellite or cable. It only has FireTV. Upgrade the HVAC system from the current window unit to a quiet split unit. It has a window unit for heating and cooling. It is so loud you can’t hear the tv. And it wakes you up at night when it comes on. And it cycles on and off a lot set at 70 degrees in the winter. The hot tub needs little attention. It’s about 2 inches off level, but works well. Screen porch has tears in screen and need repairs. Very poor lighting inside, could use a light over kitchen sink.
