First off I booked two rooms on Expedia and forgot to request ground floor accommodation. Called the hotel a day before arrival and requested ground floor rooms, the clerk on duty at that time, was very polite and asked what our estimated arrival time would be, I said between 2-3pm.
He said that would be okay as long as we were there before 6 pm. Upon arrival we went into see if we could check in it was about 2:30pm, the manager said check in time was 3:00pm, which was fine. I wanted to confirm about the ground floor rooms, manager said it was a request not a confirmation! He also said the rooms were booked through Expedia ,that seemed to irk him somewhat. Asked us to return at 3pm. There was only 2 cars on the property, mine and I assumed the other car was his. We returned at 3pm ,another couple were checking in and we saw that they were going to the upper floor. There was another clerk with the manager at this time. I asked again about checking in to ground floor rooms, we were told he didn’t know if the rooms were cleaned, and we would have to wait.He said he would call me when they were ready for us. After about 20 minutes the manager had left , we got a phone call ,the rooms were ready. The clerk on duty was the person I had talked with on the phone the previous day and he said that he had confirmed the ground floor rooms. This clerk was very accommodating and polite.
Would not stay there ever again because of the manager!!
