The customer service at the front desk is terrible. Definetly not what me and my family are used to. Mostly all of the staff seems a lottle uptight. Very uncomfortable for my family. We have been to dozens of other hotels in the city of Santo Domingo and through out the country. And this was rhe worst experience. Would not recommend to any one. Look at other options.

We tried three rooms and all smelled like mold. The first room we got assigned, my husband opened the door and a cockroach feel from the ceiling and almost landed on him! Then went to a second room and it was just as dingy and dates as the first. I was going to check out and to some place else but the staff accommodated us in a room without nasty, old carpet so it was bearable. We only needed to sleep one night so we stayed. The room was nicer but smelled very strong like mold. This hotel needs some major renovations.

Well to start they never tell you at check in the stuff they put in your room as a mini bar as water Gatorade crakers candy’s chips and 2 beer bottles you have to pay for it at the time u check out… and come to tell you have total bill for $75 US dollars for it … so be carful for this is not a hotel welcome …. Also room smell very bad with humidity and the carpet was very dirty my room # was 426 ….. but everything else like the pool area was clean lobby very clean

Perhaps not a 5 star hotel in terms of Western standards. This hotel definitely needs a complete makeover, in terms of their furnishings and interiors. Although, some might say they like stepping back into the 1980s. I absolutely hate hotel rooms with carpet flooring, as I prefer wooden laminate flooring for hygiene reasons. However, what was lacking in terms of modern finishings, their friendly and helpful staff were absolutely brilliant. Special shout out to Anna, who just began working there, who I looked forward to her pleasant greetings and smile every morning. And the handsome gentleman, Steven on reception was also super helpful. Overall, I was told this hotel is one of the best for the price here in Santo Domingo. But, If you do stay here, definitely pay the upgrade to stay on the 7th floor which are the executive rooms. As you get extra perks such as access to 8th floor restaurant, with happy hour drinks, and free soft drinks for he entire day. And the food is yummy. Talking of which, the breakfast meal was delicious, with lots of options. I would definitely stay here again. Change the flooring to laminate flooring and this hotel would be excellent.
