lovely house in quiet location BUT disappointed.
Booking was straightforward and we paid in full at booking stage.
We received NO information from the owner about the property. I emailed 4 times, contacted customer services twice and sent 2 texts before finally being given the address and where to find the key to the house. (3 DAYS AFTER WE WERE ACTUALLY IN Ibiza & all at our cost) This information should be on the website for customers to access at anytime.
We did not see the owner at anytime (felt very impersonal) and there is no information in the house - it would be really useful to have a folder in the house with a map of the local area showing fastest way to the beach/centre, details of local amenities like supermarkets, ATMs, Restaurants, the swimming pool, Doctors/Clinics etc. ( There is a lovely communal pool you can use but we only knew about this from other reviewers.) The owner would only have to prepare this once and it would be much appreciated by guests. We had to phone her to get the Wi-Fi password for example.
The house and garden are lovely and well equipped both inside and out, however on arrival the first thing I had to do was bleach the downstairs toilet which had not been cleaned. There was a thick layer of dust and dust balls behind and under the four poster bed. A lot of the crockery is cracked and/or chipped and should be replaced - especially the horrible 'Beatles' mugs (there is an IKEA in Evissa so this won't break the bank!) Our general impression was that the house needed a thorough clean and not just a quick tidy on changeover day.
Someone arrived to water the grass early in the mornings but we had not been told about this and got a fright when this strange man appeared in the garden! I also had to deal with an engineer from the electricity Company who came to replace the meter. I had to help him locate the meter and then find him something to stand on as he couldn't reach it. Seriously, you don't expect that on holiday!
Finally, I text the owner to tell her what time we would leave and asked about the key. She never replied.
We did enjoy our time is Santa Eularia and Siesta is a quiet residential area (car not essential but definitely recommended) but the lack of communication and information from the owner was very frustrating.
