This is my second time staying at this property. I must admit it was not as great as my first time on the property. The room was not kept up and not cleaned properly. The service in the restaurant was somewhat slow and not many items were available. I didn't like that I had to drop a key at the desk to have my room cleaned as I was told I had the only key. Problem is that I had to contact the office if I was to return later than they were open to make arrangements for my key. I think that communication was lacking this time. If I knew the policy, it might have been smoother. I think the service in the restaurant was lacking, Again, if short staffed, they should have said something, If I noticed a problem, nothing was addressed until I brought it up. If you know you have a problem with something on your property, and it could affect your guests, address it up front with the guest. I shouldn't have to ask about something 2 and 3 times to finally get it resolved. The property is a beautiful property with beautiful grounds in a very convenient location. I returned because of the wonderful experience I had a few years ago. I stayed for 2 weeks this time. Everyone is very nice on the property. It is just that I expected a different level of service that I received. I was not as thrilled this time as in the past.
