This little place was great! Bed was amazing and to have a real comforter and not just one of those thin bedspreads was the best! Very clean, staff so nice and helpful. Would stay here a 1000 times over!

Stayed here during UC Santa Cruz move in dates and put the sign at the door that reads “do not disturb” which is the universal sign to not come in the room.. well they do not ably by the sign and came into the room and cleaned the room. I understand that it is housekeepings job but I would like to have the choice of their services and not come in when I don’t want them to. My bags were open for my own convenience. Luckily I took all my valuables when I left the room.

Upon arrival, went to check out the rooms and they smelled of decay ! That is not a lie! Went down to the desk and the manager came out in his pajamas and said show me and also said he had to show us different rooms. Those rooms smelled so musty and had a foul smell as well! Told him we wanted a refund as I could feel my lungs going into asthma attack mode. He was rude, called us liars, and started yelling at us in front of a stranger. Expedia was immediately contacted with no resolution. No refund.

Anan, the manager, could not be more helpful. The is a fairly simple, economic place to stay about 1 mile from the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Our room was very big, spotlessly clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. If you're looking for luxury, try elsewhere at twice the price. But it had all you need for a safe, comfortable, quiet stay. Plenty of parking around the building. A walk to downtown would be 15 to 20 minutes, probably the same to the Boardwalk. All they have for amenities is a big coffee/capuccino machine next to the office. I booked it on a Saturday night for $169 when everything else was 2 to 3 times that price in Santa Cruz. Would stay there again.

Hotel is average. The square pillows on the bed are super uncomfortable. I also was awakened by noisy people in the room next to me. They sounded belligerent drunk shouting on their balcony at 2 in the morning for who knows how long until I called front desk and they finally stopped. I wouldn’t stay here again. There was one positive for me- the coffee machine in the lobby.

Great little place, just there for one night while travelling down to LA from SF. The guy at the front desk was super helpful. Even gave me restaurant options around the motel. Place was clean and bed was comfy. All I needed really.
