The property was charming, the room dated but clean and the area was quiet. The amenities were ok, check in smooth. I missed have some hangers in the room for my clothes. The cost was reasonable for Santa Barbara.

The location was super convenient as it was close to stores as well as the wedding venue. The beds were super comfortable and rooms were clean. The manager was very sweet as well.

Used wet wash cloth left in shower. Hair in shower. Wad of hair stuck to bathroom wall. Walls generally sprayed with soilage. Base molding removed and unfinished areas of wall exposed. Blood stain on generally discolored sheets. Heavily scuffed furniture. Holes in window screen. Heavily duck taped car parked in lot; owner angrily pacing walkways. Upon completion of check in, desk personnel asked me to go outside and call someone into the office for them.

There the door didn't seal all the way (light would show through around the doorframe), and it could probably use some paint. But all went well, and I'd probably stay there again.

The stay was ok. the building needs an update some furniture, amenities falling apart. Toilet water pump kept getting stuck after flushing, had to keep removing lid to fix in order to be able to flush

They need to use non-toxic cleaning products!
That was unfortunately one of the worst nights we have spent in a hotel. The worst part was the chemical smells that permeated everything. Its great that they clean things, but we couldn't even breathe without feeling sick. We tried to air out the room for a while while sitting there being very cold with the door and windows open, but it did no good. We talked to a nice employee, but she said there were no more rooms available, so we couldn't change, although I'm sure they use the same cleaning products in all the rooms. It was late and we were tired and we only booked there in the first place because it was the cheapest room in town, because we only booked a week in advance and every good deal was already gone. And it was $300! Way too much! And the bed was horrible. It was old and way too soft and bouncy and every time we moved it made sounds. I thought it was the springs squeaking, but my husband thought it was plastic under the sheets. The furniture was old and shabby, the walls needed painting, the comforter was old and crummy, and everything smelled like strong chemicals. It was almost impossible to sleep. The shower worked fine. But why was there only one washcloth and one small towel for 2 people? There were 2 bath towels. If it was $100 a night, it would still be awful but that would make a little more sense, but we paid $300 with no changes allowed! Outrageous. Will never stay there again. Please use non-toxic, unscented products.
