The biggest plus about this property is the proximity to everything we explored in solvang and the fact that they allow pets. If you book through Expedia be aware that the pet fee is NOT included in the price you pay. Check in was not a friendly experience, the young man at the front was not super warm and welcoming. There was an issue of how the room was coming up on their end versus what I booked on Expedia but I didn’t really mind it and understood their lack of availability for a double bed room. They offered a cot bed at an extra charge which we ended up getting and paying for. The cleanliness of the bathroom was poor, hair from previous guests were visible on the floor so we made it a point to have shoes/slippers on around the room. Overall average hotel space, they provide subpar continental breakfast. We wanted to give this place a try but I don’t think we would stay here again considering we have stayed in another pet friendly hotel with a much more positive experience overall.

Located along the main shopping and dining streets, yet just out of the way of noise and traffic. Clean, friendly, accommodating service. Dog-friendly. Fantastic place to stay. And somehow very affordable. 5-stars.

We were in a loft room and it was perfect for us (2 adults, 1 kid & 2 dogs). The heated pool was perfect because my daughter was desperate to go in even though it was cool out. Next to the pool is a cute outdoor area for games like corn hole, connect four, ping pong, and a putting field. There was always fresh coffee & hot water for tea available. There was no fee for parking which was nice, but we were able to walk to everything in town. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Solvang!

We really enjoyed staying at the Royal Copenhagen Inn. It’s extremely walkable and accessible to the shops, dining and experiences Solvang has to offer. The accommodations were great, bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and the hotel staff were kind and friendly.

Do not go by the photos on Expedia for what rooms look like. I booked 5 people and they showed a room with a loft with two beds and a sofa downstairs. I assumed this is what we would be staying in, however we were assigned a two bed single story room. Very deceiving photos. The clerk who checked us in said that he gets my complaint a lot and has told them they need to remove the photos.

Great location and service! Cleanliness was iffy
Customer service was wonderful! The front desk attendants were friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic, close to the Solvang city center. Our only complaint is with the cleanliness of the room. Most surfaces were clean, but the main floor was completely filthy. My toddler daughter walked around on the floor, and not less than an hour later her feet were nearly black.

I truly enjoy the experience, the room was big, beautiful and super clean, I like that you can barely hear any noise, the rooms are far from each other which allow more personal space, you can sleep good and I love that is pet friendly, very convenient and I love that it is located on the heart of the town, I highly recommend it for families, the staff were very nice and friendly. 5 stars definitely :)

New Year’s day
I suggest when children are staying that they have downstairs rooms because we have them above us And they ran across the floor all night. Also, your toiletries could be upgraded to liquid soap and shampoo in the shower bottles along with your lotions. The stay was nice just was unhappy with the toiletries and the loudness of the kids above us. Next time we’d like to try a different room with a patio due to my husband needing a knee replacement we can’t stay on the top floors. Thank you for a great weekend. Happy new year.

The only the thing that kept us awake is every time their small fridge starts making noise off and on. That was a bit annoying. Otherwise just unplug it in the winter if ur visiting. We never unplugged it just dealt with it. We were only there for two nights. Loved the included breakfast.
