A surprising bit of pleasantness
The motel was originally built in the '20s, but has been thoroughly updated since except for the size. However, the bed was comfortable, the shower was warm, and we were able to do everything we wanted to do. Lots of businesses/shopping/good restaurants nearby. We ran into a surprise difficulty that threatened our checkout time, but management was very understanding and accommodating.I'm very definitely going to recommend a stay at this motel. Unless your stay goes very differently from ours, you'll like it.

The Oasis Inn & Suites was perfect for me and my husband while visiting my family. We had room 4, which is an upstairs suite with kitchen, which made it easy to make breakfast every morning. The location was just right for getting to my family's place as well as downtown, not to mention Chaucer's Books, Gelsen's and 7 Day Nursery, all right across State St.! We will most likely stay there again!

Perfect place on upper State Street! This is a wonderful hotel. It looks very modest from the street, but the rooms are well designed, refurbished, and charming. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking spaces can get a bit crowded but it’s Santa Barbara! Shopping center across the street, restaurants waiting 2-5mins walk.
