Not exactly by the harbor as I had envisioned, but a lovely place nonetheless. Apparent efforts have been made to elevate it- wine and cheese, robes, landscaping, and friendly service. Views from the room are lacking, but you ARE in Santa Barbara and in walking distance to its splendor. We’d stay again.

I rate this hotel as a 3 star. It definitely needs some work around the pool and new outdoor furniture. The pictures also that they show on the web are slightly different than the actual hotel. Hotel rooms however are very clean.

When we first pulled in, the property looked a bit dated, but once we got into the room, we saw that courtyard was very nice. We liked the location with easy walks to both the harbor and State Street. We did pass a few homeless on the way to State, but we never felt unsafe - even at night. (We were two men - maybe women might feel differently about the night walk.) We didn’t think we would take advantage of the daily happy hour, but we ended up stopping by every day. We didn’t take advantage of any breakfasts, but they looked OK to me. The front office staff was friendly and they also made good suggestions for dining. It’s not a super fancy hotel, but we thought it was a good value for us - we would definitely return.

Great stay at Inn by the Harbor! Easy 15 minute walk to State Street, 3 minute drive to Ledbetter beach and easy walk to the pier. Room was clean and comfortable for our family of 4. Parking is free and easy and the continental breakfast is a wonderful bonus to get your day started. This was our second stay and will likely be back.

Good location. No hot water!

Pros: We booked 3 rooms for a family trip to visit my son in Santa Barbara. The rooms are spacious and the staff is very friendly. The location is great, close to get harbor and many restaurants. Cons: There was NO HOT WATER for 2 of the 3 days that we stayed there. We should not be paying over 300 per night for COLD SHOWERS!

Nice little place.

Great little place to stay. Other places are a little closer to the beach but this is a nice clean quiet well-maintained place to stay. More of a motel really than a hotel imo but nevertheless, a great place for a good night's sleep.

We ordered a queen bed and received a complimentary upgrade to a king bed suite with direct access to the hot tub and pool. Staff was friendly and the location was very close to the beach and restaurants. We stayed for a weekend and found it easy to walk to the beachfront area for dining (10-15 minutes) instead of driving 3-4 mins and looking for parking. Very convenient!

Welcoming and comfortable

Delightful stay, traveling with 3 adult kids who enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and breakfast. Attached kitchen let us make some meals ourselves. Walkable to State Street restaurants and shops. Restful and comfortable. Looking forward to return stay.
