Our room was clean, the pool area was working and pleasant with all of the natural plants, our bed and bedding were comfortable, the shower was spacious, and the food for breakfast was decent. We enjoyed the hot tub and the pool area ambiance especially.

We had such a wonderful stay in Santa Monica! From the moment we checked in, the front desk team made our trip even better. Sam and Daniel were both incredible. Sam went above and beyond—he gave us a fantastic rundown of the area with tons of great suggestions for restaurants, sights, and things to do. The next day, he even drew us a little map and pointed out the best spots to visit on the hotel’s complimentary bikes. It made exploring so much easier and more fun. Daniel was also friendly and helpful. He recommended an amazing pizza place for dinner (which absolutely hit the spot!) and let us know we could use the hot tub at the hotel’s sister property—a great bonus we definitely appreciated. Their kindness and attention made our stay memorable. We’ll absolutely be back!

The hotel is falsely advertised, the rooms are old and dated. It felt like a 1 star motel. The staff was helpful and friendly and hotel is walkable to the downtown area. Would probably stay at a renovated hotel on next visit to SB.

This is a classic old California motel. The rooms are modest, yet meticulously clean, and exceptionally comfortable. The staff is excellent, from front desk to housekeeping to breakfast service. Wine and cheese happy hour is well done with good wine, cheese and crackers. This is not a five star hotel, but a five star classic accommodation. Highly recommend. Very walkable to harbor.
